In the kit it has a cloth for the solvent and separate microfiber to buff it with. There's no cutting of the paint or abrasive being used in the system.

Has an edge on it that you can feel with your fingernail? Its hard to tell the extent of the damage. Otherwise best thing Ive used is the DrColorChip method that you dab/smear/buff with solvent....

I got a PF64 in the same multilingual packaging last week, I'm sure it's good to go. Though a year or so ago I did return one because I did suspect it might have not been legit but I'm ok with it now.

I kept the WT from my 18 1LE just moved it over, I've been very happy with it. I did not keep the WT front mats and let those go with the car when I sold it. I replaced the mats with Husky's.

I DD a 1LE for three years and it was perfect. I don't have kids nor need to haul anything, and I swapped Summer and Winter tires as seasons changed. It was never hard to live with.

Pretty impossible tire budget, IMHO. $1000 really gets you very little for an 18 2SS. You can do that all day long for some basic B 4 door sedan with 14/15/16" wheels.
