Your comments from others were on looks not performance as you stated. As we've discussed here many many times, people don't even know about the Camaro and that's why it isn't selling so I doubt they were confusing it for a exotic but knowing exactly hot it performed. So yes! I knew what you meant exactly. The performance is awesome. It's not nearly enough for GM to take Chevy badging off the car any more than the Corvette. There have been many discussions about making the Corvette a unique brand even to take away the stigma of being "just a Chevrolet". This is a big deal when you are trying to actually win Porsche fans. For Camaro? It just isn't special enough for that. Even at the low volumes it's outselling the Corvette over 2 to 1. As for the Camaro performance being in a different league? You haven't driven a GT350 yet have you? (not condescending just to be clear) Not much more money than an SS actually and you get more HP and a great chassis. The I4 and V6 isn't in a different league. It's only if you compare an SS to the GT there is a real difference. And again, as we've discussed at length, you pay for that. Again why some people think the car isn't selling.

The fact that the 6th gen Camaro is being compared to high performance cars on a multinational level instead of just other "pony" cars speaks volumes. That being said, I believe they should sport the bar badge with pride and pay homage to where they came from now more than ever - just my opinion.
I don't agree that Camaro should step away from the bowtie. Look at the other cars mentioned like Ferrari. Not even the Enzo got its own badge - they all retain the same Ferrari badging (not in any way comparing a Camaro to a Ferrari). I also am glad the body design is just a refreshing of the previous generation. I think the 5th gens looked good, minus the "gills". I think we can all agree and just rejoice the fact that the 6th gens look better instead of GM making the mistake similar to the 4th gens (ugliest Camaros ever made IMO). Could they have done more to differentiate it from the 5th gens? Sure. But they look fantastic, so no complaints on the styling from me. These are all just opinions. I'm not saying anyone else is wrong .Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Are there any bowties on the corvette? Anyway I don't think the Camaro needs bowties. Most people black them out or delete them. Opportunity for GM to save money by just removing them.

As far as the badge, I think the Camaro needs to keep the bowtie, but IMO the bowtie should be a little smaller. |

Compared to the outgoing generation, the Gen 6 Camaro is NOT selling as well and you don't know what GM's sales goals were, but it was obvious they were hoping to be higher due to adding a shift at LGR for more production and then only selling a total of less than 9,000 Alpha cars for the entire month. You're making an assumption that GM is pleased with the sales, they've not said how they felt one way or another. |

Alright let's not make this a mustang vs Camaro post, I was using the mustang as a reference point. And to "speedislife" something tells me that Ford knew how the Camaro would perform prior to it being open to the public to order in August of 2015. I could be wrong but I get the feeling these companies know what the others are doing before we or journalists do. I don't think it's too far fetched for all the American companies to bounce ideas off of each other. their working relationship didn't just come out of thin air when they decided to work on the 10 speed auto.

I like the red/white/blue fender flag on the Camaro better than having Camaro spelled out in a badge. I would like to see the badge replaced with a ZL1, Z28 or 1LE emblem on the performance models rather than adding extra badges in different places. Those of us who know what the cars are will respect and appreciate it, no need to put an extra badge in the grill on each side of the raised hood and on the back bumper, keep it simple and clean.
