The method in the link above does not bypass the fuse, nor would a manually switched set-up if a fuse is placed between the tap and the switch.

I pulled my fuse and didn't notice much of a difference. I just took a 3600 mile drive to the east coast and back and the biggest thing I noticed was while in 6th gear at highway speed, tipping in the throttle produces a deep growl. I guess it's sort of a drone, but I think of it more as a low warning growl...

Jimmypop.....Thanks to your DIY, I did the exact same set-up. Unfortunately my wireless was defective and had to return it. That got me thinking about the whole "on at start" thing and caused me to re-think it all. It's getting like an aircraft pre-flight with all the stuff you need to trigger...Wireless exhaust, Rev-match, Mode, P-brake etc...LOL
I had my Vette both ways, and honestly liked the hard wire set-up better..

I pulled the fuse about a week after I bought mine. I definitely like it better. I agree with Tara above that the main difference is at the lower RPM's at higher speed seems to be a little deeper. I like the sound so I wouldn't call it a drone.

I pulled mine mainly to get rid of the Exhaust rattle I have. Its still there but not as bad.
Anyways I like the sound it makes now with the fuse pulled. lightly press the pedal and it growls.

Pull the fuse and you will never put it back in, especially if you have a manual trans.

Incorrect. Hit the link in my post #12 which also will link you to what the C7 guys are doing to go wireless. Essentially the wireless mod is exactly the same for both cars.

I had my car up on a lift the other day I was surprised to see there are 4 valves. each side has one before the muffler inlet and one after the muffler just before the outlet tip. I got pics If anybody cares to see them let me know i'll post them. Lots of awesome stuff went into this 6th gen and one really appreciates it when you get a good view of the underside.
