Things to look at when buying used convertable?
What are things on the convertible top that I should look out for when buying used?
Also how big of a difference does an aftermarket wind deflector make? |

Operate the top to verify that it functions smoothly and correctly. Keep in mind that most extended warranties don’t cover the convertible top so you’ll want to be confident that it is working properly.
Check for separation of the rear glass from the convertible top. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=604625 https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=519083 Also check the rear quarter panel plastic trim to verify it functions correctly. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=562083 |

I'd also suggest looking specifically at the weather stripping all around when you operate the top, make sure the tonneau seats correctly and that it operates smoothly, and check for signs of water leakage (wet or musty carpets, interior staining, etc.). |

I knew about the glass separation issue but not the other things. I really appreciate the heads up and you taking the time to reply. I will add it to my data of things to review with the top when the time comes
. Looking at December when I retire.
