The method in the link above does not bypass the fuse, nor would a manually switched set-up if a fuse is placed between the tap and the switch.

I pulled my fuse and didn't notice much of a difference. I just took a 3600 mile drive to the east coast and back and the biggest thing I noticed was while in 6th gear at highway speed, tipping in the throttle produces a deep growl. I guess it's sort of a drone, but I think of it more as a low warning growl...

The problem I see with the wireless is that the switch defaults to open whenever power is removed requiring you to activate the remote to get it back to stock at every start-up. A simple on/off switch eliminates that issue and is likely what I will do, just because I can. I doubt I'll run it much that way though..
You can do a simple switch and people have with the vette but I liked the wireless way BC I can remove and reinstall in less than a minute for when the car is at the dealer or something, and also BC I didn't want to attempt to run a wire through the firewall. What I've had success with if I want it to start quiet is just hold down the remote button while starting. It closes pretty quick though you do get a little bit of the loud initial bark

Jimmypop.....Thanks to your DIY, I did the exact same set-up. Unfortunately my wireless was defective and had to return it. That got me thinking about the whole "on at start" thing and caused me to re-think it all. It's getting like an aircraft pre-flight with all the stuff you need to trigger...Wireless exhaust, Rev-match, Mode, P-brake etc...LOL
I had my Vette both ways, and honestly liked the hard wire set-up better..

I pulled the fuse about a week after I bought mine. I definitely like it better. I agree with Tara above that the main difference is at the lower RPM's at higher speed seems to be a little deeper. I like the sound so I wouldn't call it a drone.

I think I would too. Just have a little switch hidden by your knee that's always on or always off. I can't find a good place to store the transmitter where I can easily use it. It rattles in the door and it's not the easiest thing while driving to reach anything in the center console. I'm considering getting some Velcro to put it somewhere near my knee. I think the best solution for wireless would be to use the homelink buttons but i need to use two of them for a gate and a garage so that's out for now

Yeah...too many switches, not enough hands! On my C6 I installed a little rocker switch right under my finger on the console. Easy on, easy off..

I pulled mine mainly to get rid of the Exhaust rattle I have. Its still there but not as bad.

Anyways I like the sound it makes now with the fuse pulled. lightly press the pedal and it growls.

Pull the fuse and you will never put it back in, especially if you have a manual trans.

No wireless can be used on the C7, the 6th gen Camaro has to be the same. The C7 corvette guys have all the delicate details on how to build a switching system for the NPP.

Incorrect. Hit the link in my post #12 which also will link you to what the C7 guys are doing to go wireless. Essentially the wireless mod is exactly the same for both cars.

I had my car up on a lift the other day I was surprised to see there are 4 valves. each side has one before the muffler inlet and one after the muffler just before the outlet tip. I got pics If anybody cares to see them let me know i'll post them. Lots of awesome stuff went into this 6th gen and one really appreciates it when you get a good view of the underside.
