Needless to say, I will be going back next month to get the converter upgrade done. It drives good its just the lower speeds you can tell the converter needs to be upgraded. The one now has a hard time containing the power :-). If you are in drive and stop for to long the car rear end starts to jump up :-). If you put it in neutral it fixes it. You can also tell at low parking lot speeds that the stock torque converter is struggling.

If I have just went heads and cam without all the other bolt on's with it I probably could have gotten away with not having to upgrade.
My guess, it's probably the new cam that is making it feel funny like that, not the bolt-ons.

That K&N absolutely trashed your base line dyno numbers. You are not going to make N/A power at 10.9-11.0 AFR. There was quite a bit more in the base set up with a proper tune. Glad the end product worked out for you. What did it make SAE over RPM? Anything over 500rw in 5th on pump gas is stout.

It is the cam pulling on the converter. Nothing else. Get a Circle D 4C in there and let it eat. A 4C makes a world of difference. It is night and day.

You can tell a big difference in power now that's for sure. When I decided on a Cold Air it was between CAI and K&N. I regret not going with CAI because it is more enclosed. I may still swap the K&N out at some point. Do you think I'm good at this point now that everything is tuned, or get rid of it?

As far as the torque converter I'm planning to go with the Circle D 8L90.

Sorry, let me explain what I was saying about the K&N. It isn't the CAI it's self that is costing power per say. It is the MAF transfer function that is throwing off the AFR. From what I have seen so far, only the Roto-fab has worked the MAF position and airflow across it to mimic the stock curve. This way if doesn't effect AFR as seen in your base line dyno run. The GM CAI does the same thing and has actually lost up to 12rw over stock. Once tuned, I am pretty sure most of the aftermarket CAI's end up at the same power. I will say that going to a dry filter over a oiled filter will produce more power. I wouldn't spend the money on a different CAI at this point. It is tuned and is doing well.

And this episode shows why I will never buy another sports car with an automatic transmission :-). I can say the car will move out once you get it out on the road. I was shocked when I drove it home at the power difference.

I will see you guys in a few weeks to get the torque converter upgraded to help control all that extra power. Which brings me to another reason why I will never buy another sports car with an automatic transmission :-).

Haha sounds good.

Put your car at the strip next to the manual one we did that made 560whp and I guarantee yours beats it.

The bottom line is automatic or manual the car is really fast and fun to drive. You guys did a great job. Hell it has so much power it's ass starts jumping a little bit and it looks like it's twerking at red lights and stop signs. You can put it in neutral and make it stop, but you get some good looks :-).

Of course that will be fixed when I bring it back to get the torque converter upgrade, but I will have fun until then.

Maybe I could take that manual the made 550whp on the strip. Do you think my car can take this car with a 5-6 sec head start? :-)

I'm sure you will be more than happy with the outcome. What made you decide to go with that brand of supercharger over the others?

Nice results! I'd be willing to bet that if dyno'd in 6th gear, it would have made comparable numbers to the M6 that went 560whp. From what I understand, 6th gear dyno would be unsafe lol...

Either way, with the addition of a converter, this car is going to scoot
