Sounds like you may have an incorrect fitting. I'll PM you for some information so we can send you the right one!

This thing is ridiculous.

Thanks.
Be careful here. GM intentionally made these to be non-removeable. Use the pick tools and watch the video to try and work the fittings out as this requires patience and finesse. If you're removing the valves altogether, you'll have to grind a slit in the bolt as they are on way bolts (again, non-removeable by design). Pay close attention and be very careful when taking the latter route. Hope this helps!

Yup... Took the intake tube off to get more room; the others I just couldn't jam my fat hands around both sides of the connectors, so I cut off the outer casing on the fittings so I didn't need the tools to release the clips.

It was done in such a way that I could reuse the old hose if need be (but it's obviously altered)

No prob... If you check out the pic of the stock CCV line you'll see the outer casing cutback around the bottom clip...for anyone not saving the stock line this was a fast and easy method of removal (if done carefully the line can be reused, I broke no clips)

Thanks. My hands are physically too big to get underneath. I can only barely squeeze the pick tool between the top of my index finger and bottom of my middle finger. Thus I dropped it about every 5 seconds for the hour plus I worked on it.

From the top of the valve, at least the forward one for sure, the connector sits so close to the engine that I have to bend the tool so much the straight part isn't long enough to get back to the release.

I took it two dealers. One said he had no idea, and the second actually looked it up it up on their computer. He said the GM procedure for removing that entire assembly is to cut off the connectors, being careful to not cut the valve. He said they had one tech trying to remove the assembly and he damaged the head. I don't know how, but that's what the guy said.

I don't have a dremmel, but I may have to buy one to cut a groove so I can remove the bolts.

It is completely ridiculous that GM designed it so no one can remove those valves or tubing. No reason whatsoever for that. I'm tempted to hit one with a hammer and take it in for warranty service to have them removed.

how long should I wait before installing the catch can. Im getting my camaro in 2 weeks?

Also why does the Mishimoto system have two cans instead of one?

If you have it install it asap honestly. It won't kill you to wait but you've seen what kind of oil blow-by we get so theoretically the sooner the better. Maybe install it after a hard break-in being in warmer temps like you are i'd say 500mi. of highway and street driving should suffice.

Collected about 75ml from the 2 cans combined over the first 1000km. Over the following 1000km I collected another 50ml from the 2 cans combined, the difference being the weather stayed much warmer at night.

Also weighed the setup
*side note: uninstalled the setup to weigh while the car was still warm, nearly every fitting was loose including the tap...It actually reversed postions on me when fully tightened again, also the rubber seal on the end of this part was gone (thankfully they include extras). It's worth checking your install after a drive to check for loose parts.

Already checked all mine in the Best Buy parking lot a week ago they were about the same when I checked them today I could soak it up with a paper towel fairly easily but I haven't been on any super long trips lately either.

Sorry Evil Bee... I'm not getting what you are cleaning up using the paper towels...? Did some of your fittings get loose enough to leak?
