Sure.. it's a (dangerous) option. I was explaining my personal experience in real life (I did it personally): there are some metal clips that someone at GM has decided to put in a certain place and need to be forced/broken if you don't take the bumper apart.

Taking a dealers word doesn't mean squat to most, no offense. And personally, if I'm removing that factory fascia, I'm tossing it in the trash so it wouldn't matter. But that's just me.
I don't get offended at all! But even if you trash the original part, you will need to put the new back in and you will NEED to have those metal clips attached back to their place. If some engineer has put them where they are, they will probably have a specific function.. Of course you can do whatever you like with your car but don't blame anybody if you start hearing vibrations or similar problems. It's you, not a bad GM design.

See you!!,

And thanks Eos, I was looking at a removal of it that showed those clips in the middle. Is that a reverse light on your diffuser? Is that stock on certain trims/packages
no prob!

For anyone still looking into this, the GM part number for the quad tip fascia is 23404791. This part comes as a primer finish and is ready to paint. Can't buy it as a painted part unless the dealer has already painted it. Also, FYI, there's a $75-ish core charge that is refunded once you bring your old fascia back. I'm currently waiting for my fascia to be painted and installed, after that I'll reply back if there's anything weird that you have to do yo get the core fee back.

I am ordering dual tip fascia. Easy to change, does anyone know if it comes painted or primed when ordered from parts Depot?
