dual exhaust fascia swap?

I have a 2.0, with the single tips. I am going to do an exhaust eventually, most likely borla. Is it possible to remove the rear facsia and replace it with one from a ss, and then is it possible to use the ss borla catback with two tips instead of the 2.0? They look pretty identical in hangers and such except the two tips.

What would be needed, is the fascia just a single piece that comes off and can swap?

I tried searching, so if there is a thread please direct me to it and apologies.

Mine is unpainted plastic, and I am meaning the piece around the exhaust tips not the whole rear bumper.

I know what you mean, this lower plastic can be swapped to quad tips.

I am also going to do this on my SS but going to try cutting the rear panel!
Has anyone else tried this? Will then probably get the panel wrapped in cf.

The dealer said the whole rear bumper cover needs to come off to change the facia. I had some damage from an incident the previous owner had, and was looking for the easy way out and just to do a swap of the facia. I ended up having the dealership do it, and it's a good thing as the crush bar behind the rear cover had damage too

Thanks everyone. Yeah my last car had dual dual tips and I really liked the look. The single just looks so small on the big rear end.

Mishimoto had a 4 tip exhaust specifically engineered for the 2.0... It's on presale now

The safest way is to follow the dealer's instructions: the main bumper cover must be removed in order to have a comfortable and safe access to all metal clips/retainers that are right behind what is clearly visible.

I've done it in order to have my facia painted, as you can see here:

Thanks for the heads up on the mishimoto exhaust, that would be perfect then just need the fascia.

And thanks Eos, I was looking at a removal of it that showed those clips in the middle. Is that a reverse light on your diffuser? Is that stock on certain trims/packages

Yes, that raw of LED lights looking like a smile on my car's bumper are specific to the European version of the Camaro: it contains the reverse LED lights and the fog lights. Turn lights on European cars are built in the main lamp, where you have now the reverse lights, separated from the main rear lights (red & stop lights).

Please post some pictures of what you will be doing to your car..

See you!!,

Just letting him know it can be done. Everyone has their own opinion on things. Taking a dealers word doesn't mean squat to most, no offense. And personally, if I'm removing that factory fascia, I'm tossing it in the trash so it wouldn't matter. But that's just me.
