So a year into the kit and I've had a pretty good experience. We had one minor hiccup last weekend but I was able to take the car into ProCharger today and they took really good care of me. Their customer service has been outstanding. I am fortunate to live only 2 miles away from their headquarters!

I believe his dipstick was frayed on the end or something to that nature.
Got him in and out, no issues. He's got a lot of smiles (I mean miles) on that ProCharged beast now. Its nice seeing it running around the roads when I am out and about! |

Don't waste your money.
The MSD IM, would certainly help a very little bit, but unless you have enough fuel for full boost, it makes no sense. If not with lots of fuel delivery and an upgraded engine, you can just increase boost with a simple pulley swap and get the same result. Yes, there could be a very little, almost unnoticeable improvement in intake temperatures due to a little less friction, but not worth it. And the MSD IM is made of plastic, right? Could it break under high pressure? If you went that far, an alumminum one like the one made by Procharger or the one being developed by Goertz could be a better option. |

Thank you for clearing that up. Guess whatever money is left over will go to new spolier, tires, and diff splitter.

About our LT1/LT4 intake (used on all record holding Corvettes) I can say that it was never designed to really be a power "adder" of sorts, but merely something to replace the factory supercharger with on LT4 cars. (since nobody makes them) We are not really set up to be an "intake" company, so these things take us about 8 hrs worth of man power to build each one. (plus materials, and CNC machine time) So as you can guess not a real money maker for us. I have however tested it back to back vs. a stock LT1 intake. It does loose about 10 foot lbs of TQ for just 1,000 rpm of rev range. (right at peak TQ) And it does pick up about 10 HP at the very top end. Which is exactly what we thought it would do since it's a very short runner intake design. We wanted to to be ready for guys making 4 digit power numbers, and also rock solid to allow for meth installs and extra injectors. It is made from 3/8ths thick alum. and billet. She's no lightweight piece. ![]()

I'm just curious, how are these pro charged cars holding up, and how is the traction? Any one switch pd to centri or Vic versa? Curious what the thoughts are on that. I'm on the fence with what direction to go. I've read countless threads on here about both.

Pd street tires are useless radials only if you want traction
Centry you can get away with michelins psc2, r888, nitto nt05.....ect. from my experience |
