I'm glad I did. No disrespect to a Hellcat, just prefer the sharper handling of the ZL1. Hopefully the ZL1 will perform as good as, or preferably better than advertised. Funny statement about your Chevelle. One dimensional or not, I still love the Chevelles!
I'd pick the ZL1 as well over the HC. I like my Chevelle quite a bit as well givin the old styling of yore but at 901 n/a horsepower it's hardly anything other than one dimensional. Congrats on your ZL1. I love these times.

Simple solution.

Gm needs warrantied stage kits to bring us up to 700+hp.

No idea why they let's there customers go aftermarket when we would happily pay a bit more $$ to get it from an official source with more R&D put in.

Yes. A simple supercharger swap option to a 2.3 or larger for a $500-1000 upcharge would sell like hotcakes.

Didn't GM have stage kits for smaller cars like Chevy Cobalt Ss' in the past ? They cater to the fast and furious crowds that may or may not have $ and I dare say guys that can afford a ZL1 can probably afford and want to have these stage options too.

That would be awesome !

Not sure, but I wouldn't doubt it. My local dealer was telling me they can put a supercharger on an SS Camaro and give me more power than a ZL1 for way less and with a full warranty. I didn't know dealerships were doing that.

There were 4 levels of stage kits for the LSJ supercharged cobalt. Smaller pullies, intake, option for nos.

1 upgrade from 260/260 to 280/320 for the cobalt LNF turbo. Just a reflash and sensor change.

Is a swap from 1.7 to 2.3 going to a cheap option for us?

You guys are not looking at this correctly. First, from a dig the ZL1 has more tire and even with 6 speed a nasty first gear with 3.73 rear. Now let's play this game. The Zl1 has no lift shift the gaps would not be as drastic at that Hellcat would be in trouble on anything less than a DR from a dig. This roll on "race" shows granny shifting where the Hellcat is gaining but is it real? I don't know. But I can say this Hennesey sells parts for the Lt4 and if other driver is no lift shifting the "gap" on each shift where Hellcat gains is suspect. However who cares if I wanted just a straight car I'd have bought a base either SS or Scat and found a pro charger dealer.

Procharger to replace the pathetic small blower on this car.

With 10:1 compression it doesn't need a huge blower to deliver power. The big blowers ts take power to spool and at low boost levels make zero difference. It is at higher boost levels that the air becomes super heated and an issue. Eatons rotor pack is matched for that torque curve that it useable in real world situation. Soon there will be a Whipple alternative or Callaway has a blower that is about be 2.4 liters available soon so it is not the end of the world. Z06 makes due with the small blower just fine. And it will take a few more psi to get you to the 700 rwhp mark so that blower is an over achiever for sure.
