The Camaro definitely seems to be on the higher end of the price spectrum.

Really wish I would have gone with a premium package car as opposed to the base GT. That's a mistake I won't make again!

I can't say anything bad about the Mustang. It gets a lot of looks, especially with the bright orange paint! LOL

Still though, the Camaro offers a few things the Mustang doesn't...You can't get a sunroof or HUD on the Ford.

In terms of RWD American muscle both are outstanding vehicles!

I'm thinking about purchasing a Camaro SS. I currently own a 2016 Competition Orange Mustang GT with 3K . It's a really nice car and I've had zero problems with it.

On a whim, I went to a local Chevy dealership and test drove a CPO 2016 Camaro SS 2SS. I was pretty much blown away. I've been debating if I should pull the trigger and get the Camaro. What concerns me is the problems a lot of members have cited. Specifically concerning are the LSD issues and torque converter shake in the auto cars.

It's kind of a tough call for me as the Mustang has a few bolt ons, pulls hard and runs flawlessly. On the other hand, the Camaro is a pretty amazing machine. I love the sunroof and HUD options as well as the different mode settings. Forgot to mention, my GT is a base car, not premium package.

I don't want to trade in a car that looks and runs good for one that I'm going to have problems with. While I realize there's no way to no for sure if it's going to be problematic, just want to arm myself with as much info as possible...

So I guess, just looking for some advice and feedback. Thanks in advance!
The SS is a beast! Power and Luxury, all packed in one. Sums it up

That being said I would also like to give my suggestion here since you have a 16 Mustang GT. You will lose a lot of money during trade in. I would suggest stick with your Mustang or if you really want to trade it in then wait till November or till the next 20% rebate offer from Chevy. That way you will pay less for the SS which can compensate for the loss you will incur on your mustang.

Totally agree, it pulls pretty hard. And I do like the options....

I looked at a few new ones as well is the CPO 16. One of the sales reps stated that they should have some discounts in Feb for the auto show...Not sure if that's true or not.

I have about 9K positive equity in the Mustang, so I could do it. Just need to decide if I want the Camaro that bad....

As long as you're not upside down then you have options. I wouldn't do it if I was upside down. I love the Stang, just doesn't put a smile on my face like the SS does.. But I'm talking stock for stock. I'm sure you test drove an SS so you know what I'm talking about.

The only Mustang I would ever consider a trade for is a 2017 GT350 and even that they are neck to neck with more torque delivery in the SS.

Co-workers, friends always ask me, so how does it feel to drive a low 12 sec muscle/sports car from factory? Don't you feel like a boss? That makes me chuckle every damn time lol

The camaro is closer to an M3 than a mustang now. IMO the two cars are no longer in the same league in any category, except perhaps brand recognition and popularity trumps. If you can afford the loss on your GT, you wont be dissapointed in the SS. Theyve done an amazing job with this car. Its basically a 4-seater, softer corvette.

If looking at a Mustang, I recommend you wait for the 2018 MY refresh. The details are about to be announced, but many signs indicate significant improvements in options. The coyote is getting a makeover, new 10 speed trans, magneto shocks, active exhaust and more are likely.
