3.6L TT boosted to 530hp
3.0L TT boosted to 500hp
4.2L TT boosted to 550hp
LT1 bored out to 7L with 7000RPM redline

There are those rumors of an ATS-V Plus, could it share an engine?

Should have said Chevy and/or Cadillac lol

What I meant was

LS3 Camaro and Corvette,
LS7 Corvette Z06, then Camaro Z/28
LSA ZL1 and CTS-V
LS9 Corvette ZR1 and nothing else
LT1 Corvette and Camaro
LT4 Z06, ZL1, CTS-V

No where in there has the Camaro had its own unique engine just for it. The only one recently that has had a unique engine was the Corvette ZR1.

However, I will bet my paycheck that this car will outrun the GT350R at any race track! This car would have to be severely under powered to get outrun by the Ford.

I'm not sure a 1LE with this aero wouldn't handle the GT350R
I am going to assume this car is powered by the LT4 so it better beat a car with 120 less HP haha.

The ZL1 will. Or the ZL1.R.

Am I the only one that wants this to be a ZL1 package? They did say they were going to be testing the ZL1 during the summer before announcing final #'s and we have not seen any testing to speak of on the obvious tracks EXCEPT for this. Could that also be the reason they went with wider fenders on the front of the new ZL1 even though the tires they showed on the car would fit under the SS style fenders? Could it be that the ZL1 style hood shows us the need for a heat extractor thusly supporting the fact that there is an LT4 under the hood? Could it be that I will only have to buy ONE car and not TWO if this is a ZL1 package? God I hope so.

I noticed that too. They could obviously be playing with the set up, going to extremes to find the sweet spot.

But man, negative camber or not, I have got to have those meats on mine.

Is it just me or does it look like these are two separate filters for maybe a twin turbo version of a ZL1.

Those look like the outboard coolers.

If this is naturally aspirated, I'll start selling body parts to get one.

That's a pretty big leap in logic, and you don't even know me.

I fully admit that I'm jumping the gun a bit here given that all we've seen are some camo spy shots. But some of you guys want a Camaro to be the fastest car in the world, and that's fine, but you're going to reach a price point where it's going to rust on dealer lots because people with that kind of cash ain't buying a car with a bow tie on the front of the grille, no matter how fast it is. This car looks like it's following the same failed formula the fifth gen Z/28 came to market with. I'm sure it will be technically brilliant, I'm sure it will be a hell of a car, but it's going to come with a price tag that's going to be more than the market will bear.

And why? Because someone wants to say it's faster than a Viper ACR? Faster than a GTR? At what point have you chased lap times to a point that you've made the car into something it's not? Would you pay $100,000 for a new Camaro? At what point is the car a Camaro-in-name-only? Would half of you guys even care if this car had a Cadillac badge on it?

A lot of you read way too much in my question a few pages back. I'm not saying the Camaro shouldn't be competing with cars above its weight class, I was asking why do you feel it HAS to compete with them. How far down that rabbit hole are you willing to go and at what price?

My opinion obviously means nothing, but it seems unlikely that the ZL1 will come with the option of such a radical track package as an optional set up. Now, it could be that certain Z/28 parts might become available after a specified time to put on the ZL1... But as a selectable option at launch,... it just seems unlikely to me anyway.
