- The car will ding at you if you walk away and leave the key in the car
- If you drive away and leave the key fob on the floor at home and turn your car off... your screwed - You will still hear some road noise and wind regardless of the padding in your wheel wells. - You can shift the A8 Auto with the paddle shifters or the shift nob while in manual mode - Good luck shifting too 2nd gear on the A8 while in manual mode and turning from the paddle shifters. - Your windows will have a 1" stream of water on them after opening and closing the door after washing - Yes your phone must be plugged in via a USB cable to make Android Auto work - Dual Mode exhaust owners (NPP), you may end up having a fairly loud rattle happen and it will require a new exhaust to be installed (potentially 3 times) - If you shift the A8 auto not in manual mode the computer will take over after a little bit, the only way your shifting will stick is while in manual mode. - Dual Mode exhaust even while in track will still slightly close at higher speeds, this is normal. - The SS will sound amazing when started up and driving at low speeds, but will quiet down a lot when cruising at high speeds.

Not sure there's any reason or need. Their comments here are Generic "We're Sorry" posts. This is a normal warranty item. It's happened enough that GM is aware. See your dealer if you have the issue..

Also noticed this momentarily, but wasn't sure if it was my imagination. I normally keep the system entirely off-- I'll keep a closer eye on it now that you mention.

about the footwell heating up or A/C vents blowing hot air? is it cause the engine is so close and no insulation?

Try turning the HVAC to the lowest temp setting prior to turning it off and see if it helps.

Thanks for all the info. With the mention of the NPP rattle, when does this normally start? I have only put 100 miles on mine, and it has been in the shop for 5 days so far due to a HIM (Human Interface Module) failure.

How about the fact that in Track Mode the steering will get significantly stiffer! I know that has caught some off guard.
