New owner: things that are NORMAL.....

.....But you might think you have a "broken" car. A few things on the car are normal but the sales guy did not tell you. If you feel or see the following, they are NORMAL and part of the 6th gen experience. Many other threads here on WHY it is this way, this is just a list:

1. The first 20%-30% of the throttle response is very damped (numb), especially in Snow and Tour , compared to older Models and other brands.
2. Upon full acceleration of a v-8 automatic, when shifting, it will backfire "bark", due to computer settings/ unburned fuel.
3. The direct injection makes the engine "tick" ...normal
4. Voltage flux is normal, charges only when batt needs it.
5. Exhaust condensation/purge=black water under car
6. Car cranks a few before lighting up, fuel pressure must rise first
7. If You have run flats, you dont get any jack, compressor, nothing
8. Sests dont recline much, the way they are built, if they get stuck forward, dealer visit req.
9. All the leather is plastic coated, buy fancy leather stuff for good smell, not much else
10. Some gas pumps shut off early, try another pump
11. The camaro gets 12mo of XM, not 3 months. XM/GM glitch.

Please feel free to add others to this thread, I will keep the list up to date... Not looking to explain "features" in this list, these are things that some people might think they have a problem with but it's normal. The manual does not discuss these.....

Are you saying that if you take it in , they will tell you that that is normal, and can't be fixed?

The problem with this world is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be penalties for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the warning labels off everything and let the problem solve itself.

The 5th Gens had the same noise. I took mine in and they said it's normal and duplicated it with a new car on the lot.

If people would read that little book, become educated about their purchase and spend just an hour reading the posts here it would address everything they need. But it's easier for people to start 5 threads in a day about the same issue when it's be discussed ad nauseum.
