They aren't saying there is no difference between sport and track, just that neither keeps the valves open all the time.

No. Only intake sounds are pumped in via a sound tube for both V6 and V8 engines regardless of exhaust option.

It does not include the same connections. The hookups are different.

I spoke with the engineer who did the pedal maps for the car and based on our conversation, I decided not to get the controller. Basically, the feel of the car based on the pedal map (torque delay) was dialed in by very experienced racing drivers to deliver the best application of power without upsetting the chassis. What it made me realize was that the feeling of immediate pedal response and "unbridled power" was my comparatively inexperienced ass not knowing what an "unsettled" chassis" felt like.

I opted to simply do most of my driving in track mode, as it offers the closest to 1:1 that the car has. It's almost undetectable, whereas the sport/tour map is decidedly annoying.

I installed one in my M6 and don't like it. Had one in my Gen5 automatic and was a blast but it is to hard to control in the manual. Have mine for sale in the classified.

I have one in my M6 as well. Just takes getting used to. I don't think its super amazing that's for sure. Simple device for a simple function.

It's been snowy, wet and very cold since I ordered mine... so I haven't installed it yet.

This is the exact thing that keeps bothering me though. I don't want to be forced into an artificial throttle map that someone deemed "better" - even though I may very well be faster with it around a track. I want to be able to select a 1:1 map and have that be my default. They (GM) should really offer that option in the diving mode settings screen, like they do for NPP and steering.

I'm really hoping this controller doesn't just artificially "overboost" the throttle position, because that's just as bad as a delayed map.

No, while it does indeed do this, it also reduces the lag time between throttle application and throttle response....it doesn't just give you more throttle for your pedal push....

So here's the million dollar question... Does it eliminate the AFM you feel when the car goes from V4->V6??? You know that little break when it shudders the transmission and car a bit. I'm fed up with it and if this eliminates it I'd go with this over a AFM disabler that runs the same price and isn't half as fun. Thanks!

This does nothing for AFM. If you want to eliminate AFM get the Range Device. I have it on my SS and it works great.
