How much did you pay for your 2LT?
I've just placed an order for the below but I wondered what sort of deals people got on their 2LT's?
Camaro 2LT - Red Hot 3.6L V6 Automatic Transmission RS Package Convenience & Light Package Heavy-Duty Cooling and Brake Package NPP Exhaust Adrenaline Red Interior Accent Trim Package Red Interior Trim Kit, Knee Pad Outdoor Vehicle Cover, Red MSRP: $41,195 With Military pricing before tax but including title and registration: $39,267 I wont take delivery until March (due to being away) but I'm hoping there are some incentives/rebates going on at the time similar to the $1000/1500 people have been getting off recently. I think I got a decent price, just over invoice. |

That is more than I paid for my 2016 1ss with 6spd, NPP, and MRC for options. Why are people paying or optioning out a V6 so much when you can get a SS for about the same price?
I don't get it. Cheers if that is what you want I guess it comes down to personal preference. It just doesn't make sense to me. I was planning on ordering a 2SS but figured I don't need leather and all that other fancy jazz and I will save that money for a Whipple or a nitrous kit. Anyways congrats with your order just hope you don't regret not getting a SS that is all. |

They were listed at 7.4 seconds 0-60 and 15 seconds in the 1/4. And the V6 matches or even betters the 1995 LT1 z28 times. When exactly did a 5 second 0-60 and over 100 mph in the 1/4 become slow or unworthy of "sports car" status? For anyone planning this car to be used as a daily driver the performance of the V6 should be exceptional! Not a day goes by that I don't wonder if I should have forgone all the luxuries and gotten a 1SS. But, my realities, needs, and wants tell me that I've made the right choice. The only "mistake" with choosing the V6 is resale value and depreciation. A loaded 2LT probably won't be worth much more than $30,000 after driving off the lot.

As for the op 1st off thanks for your service to our great country!! and Congrats on the order, Your going to love it. We have a few different options but your price is right in line with mine and others I've seen with a loaded 2LT, and by March I'd say those other pricing discounts will surly be available by then.

A 1SS is hardly stripped down. We are not talking about the 1960's here when you could order a Biscayne with a big block and dual quads, no heater, no radio, rubber floor mats, bench seat, etc. I have never liked leather interiors, so a 2SS is not for me. I don't need all that other stuff. My Chevy Cruze is my daily driver also. I commute over 90 miles round trip every day, so if I had only a Camaro then I would get the V6.
It all depends on what you need or want. My 2010 is a V6. At the time I could not afford the V8. Now that I have some trade equity and can also come up with even more for the down payment, 1SS it is. I also expected to be able to mod the LLT, but we all know how that turned out. |

To answer the original question my MSRP is right around $38,500. Wish I had added the brake/cooling package as it is a bargain for $485.
My car is still in shipping so I can't answer your question outright.

Why do you need multi colored lights and warm leather for a daily driver?
I drive to enjoy the car. Only buttons I use are the radio, even then its the same 3 channels. Why load up on $5000 of extra options that have nothing to do with enhancing the driving performance. Its all personal preference but a 1SS gives everything you need to enjoy the car. |

My SS I ordered that car won't be daily driving that is what my pos 2007 Ford Taurus is for. I'm not saying the V6 isn't a great car. I actually think Chevy did a great job with the V6. I was just brought up in the old school world of no replacement for displacement even though I used to own several SRT-4's back in 2004. I think Chevy did a great job with the 6th gen but I wasn't a big fan of the 5th gen.
Again comes down to personal preference. I would never diss anyone or judge people negatively hopefully. I just think everybody should do a pros vs cons eval and make the best choice for them. I will never own another leather car. I'm not a fan of leather in cars. If I could get a 2SS without leather I probably would have but that isn't an option. The lighting options don't do anything for me either. I also don't think a 1SS is stripped down. Last edited by 70454; 12-01-2015 at 08:35 AM. Reason: added stuff |

Thank you for your service!
I agree it's all personal preference. For me it came down to after purchase obligations. An SS is going to be more money for car insurance, property tax, possibly maintenance, higher monthly payment, and more in gas as my daily driver. And if I did opt for a 1SS, I'd miss out on all the features that I want and am really looking forward to in this 2016 Camaro that my 2015 Mustang doesn't have. So for me it pretty much boiled down to the packages of what I wanted in a car. I wanted a fully loaded car instead of being stuck in a situation where I am now with a beautiful car, but lacking a lot of enjoyable features which really forced me into the switch. Ford made a huge mistake with their whole lineup and lacking just about all these awesome features the Camaro has; it's a complete game winner to me and they got me! In my case I don't live near a track so I won't be out there with it, the speed limits don't change, and for sound I opted for the NPP which should definitely sound better then my current exhaust. Unfortunately I still have no pricing...I've estimated it, but placed the order blind in August. I should be under 40k though. I am disappointed in the leather only option as well...hoping they're better then my old 2012 Focus' seats because I'll be sitting in them for 30,000 miles a year looking forward to the 2017 Camaro trade in.

I really wanted the Red Hot exterior with a Red Leather interior, so a 1SS would never have done me. The HUD is a must for me which I don't believe is an option on the 1SS, and ultimately I prefer the look of the RS vs the SS, especially when it comes to the spoiler. I'm not the sort of guy who wants to mod his car with a new spoiler or anything either so if it isn't what I want from the get go I usually wont buy it! In a few years I'm expecting to be able to export it to the UK where Camaros can bring a premium (For example a 2010 Camaro V6 is being offered for $30k, and that's for a base model I believe with 30k miles on it), so even taking into account shipping etc I'd lose less money then I would do selling in the states (if I decided to sell it over in the UK). All in all we're all getting the cars we want and we can all be proud that they are Gen6 Camaros!
