However, I still enjoy driving my Mustang as it bounces up and down the street.

I'm willing to bet the A10 will be available for MY17, but it could be available for the Camaro at the same time. But I haven't heard anything lately on the GM version of the A10, other than it was being co-developed with Ford.

It's been a while since I've heard anything on them, they just sort of faded into background chatter, save for the Raptor announcement. I thought I was weird that GM started throwing 8-speeds in things when the 9 and 10 are literally just around the corner.

http://media.gm.com/media/us/en/gm/n...nsmission.html My guess the 8 speed was already in development for CAFE reasons when this deal was formalized, otherwise I'm sure GM would have waited. With GM having done a lot of the work they did already with the 8 speed for RWD, I'm betting Ford is taking the lead on the 9 speed for FWD. But that's just a guess.

Maybe the 10 speed autos will be the bees knees, but if they are better than the 8l90 GM will use them too. The 6l80 was an average transmission as I never felt it was very responsive or fast to shift. From what I've read, the 8l90 is much better in those regards. |

I won't comment much on the Gen 6 until I see a 1LE or ZL1 version.

It's a dumb observation to begin with. As if finding a similarity of any object on a car with some other object means anything,

Hm. Not sure about this one. Gonna go off the middle class Mustang/Camaro because the V8 vs V8 has been beat to death. Drag Radial, E30, and IC ecoboosts go mid to high 11's on the 1/4 mile. I'm really interested to see what the V6 Camaro can do (with similar mods) given it's hp,tq, and weigh ratings from the mags. Anyone know if times have been released for the 6th gen Camaro?

I drove a 2015 mustang v6 as well as a 2015 camaro v6 (both base, and were rental cars for work). I honestly have to say that I loved the driving of the mustang more than the camaro. Interior was more spacious for me, the blind spots where much better, interior was better quality per say as well and the driving feel was much better. Camaro for me had the much better exterior and engine though.
If I were to buy EITHER, I would've gone with the mustang. Now... Gen 6 is a whole other ball game. I am in love with the exterior, interior, LT1, tech packages and everything so when we are to compare a gen 6 camaro to a mustang... What's a mustang? Never heard of her. I cannot wait till Nov 7th where I get to drive probably a 1SS auto on the texas motor speedway. I will be able to tell and feel a lot more of the gen 6! |

The Camaro crushes because of history on GM's side like this man.
Craig Hendrickson of H-O Racing Specialties, Hawthorne, California, pondered over the NHRA rated horsepower, shipping weights, class Indexes and decided that the 455 TA looked fairly promising in SS/KA. That assumption was recently substantiated when Craig set the SS/KA national record at 11.31 sec ET and 118.73 mph. What he has done to extract over 500 hp out of the 455 under the limited changes allowed in Super Stock by NHRA. The '74 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird was a very formidable performer even in showroom stock condition |
