They came out and said this morning that if for some reason you lose access to your normal internet connection, all you need to do is connect your mobile phone to your X1 via bluetooth and let the X1 ping your data through the xbox smartglass app once every 24 hours.

Again how are you going to do that deployed or in remote areas.
You can't that is millions of users alienated.
Bad business.
360 is and has been a dead stick. And needed to be upgraded for years.

thats the problem, it may not effect you but it effects millions.
What happens if you get stuck in a storm for example, all you've got is power and land line. Cell towers down, cable and internet down. Guess what, your gaming console is useless.

Internet was down here for over 1 month in some areas after IKE as was power.

We played using the generators.

AND even the lastest stat shows a TON of Americans still dont have a high speed internet period.
