To remove the effect just turn the magnet 90 degrees and do it again.
The stronger the magnet you use the more effective it will be. Also longer screwdrivers will be more effective.

Same thing works for extensions, knives, wrenches.

Funny story on that one, i magnetized all the butter knives in the drawer to mess with my wife.
Shame on you! and nice tip (pun intended), I think I used to know this and with all the other stuff in there, well I guess there wasn't enuff room! I was wishing I had a magnetic Phillips head recently. And I was certainly happy to see that 'fifty' on my '17's wheel. You don't have to get a 50th Edition for a little reminder of the car's history.
Keep the FYI's coming guys and thanks for the trivial pursuit answers in advance too!

One thing I've done quite a bit when I'm taking out a screw I really don't want to fall and have to retrieve: Stick a magnet to the side of a screwdriver and the magnetic pull will work through the screwdriver to hold onto the screw

It looks like you removed that rubbery coating on your steering wheel by the Fifty deal. Is this on purpose or did it just wear off? Mine is showing some wear.

They’re notorious for peeling, it’s flat/matte black originally then semi-gloss after it’s peeled. Happened to both of my cars, you can get replacements but eventually they’ll all peel

Here is one most people dont realize, the tread lugs on tires are different sizes than the ones next to them. If you look at your tires you will see it. Some are shorter or longer than the one it came before so that it reduces tire noise. I actually learned that one in a NHV class when i worked for dodge.
