I've actually said this for years!! Here in South Carolina, a Firing Squad is the new means of execution with five other states as the prisoner is strapped to a chair and shot with a rifle by multiple shooters. A medically trained officer then checks for any signs of life and uses a pistol at point-blank range to deliver a "coup de grâce" to ensure death.

This should be on a Pay-Per-View and the proceeds given to the victim's family.

OR... hold the Politicians liable as the criminals using their laws. Once you hold the Politicians making these lazy laws, will be the time that crime really falls away.

The BCM update definitely does not prevent theft. Slows then down a bit, but that's about it. If concerned recommend looking into additional prevention methods. Take a look at IGLA with addition of anti carjacking and diagnostic block modes. Might also pair with a aftermarket alarm such as Compustar.

Not going to stop them if they have an updated scanner tool as fast as we try to come up with ways to protect ours cars they move just as fast trying to find work arounds to make our efforts useless. Best bet kill switch of your choosing hardwire tracking, and at least 3 highly visible deterrents like steering wheel lock, brake pedal lock and OBD 2 port lock or tire lock

I live in Texas my car was stolen in Dallas cops told me if I would’ve shot at the thief I could’ve been in trouble they don’t view car theft as a violent crime and since I wasn’t in the car I wasn’t in direct danger and since I live in apartment complex and the car was parked in our parking lot I couldn’t shoot him for trespassing. It’s crazy how the justice system protects the criminal. Leaving my apartment complex and moving to a house first chance I get because at least then if someone comes on my property into my garage it can be open season

If it was dark when it was stolen you could have legally shot him if you had caught him. Not saying I would have, just saying.

No he stole it in broad daylight at 3pm I caught him stealing it and was still told if I would’ve shot him I’d be in trouble

Well, they are right. You can't just shoot someone for stealing something. Now, if they point a gun at you or attempt to harm you than you can use force. However, you never know if it were to go to courts, how the court system may rule.

I guess you probably need to relax your trigger finger and realize that you just can't shoot people for trespassing, looking at you funny, or saying something mean to you. I'm all for guns and self defense but whenever I see comments so reckless like you posted; especially the 'open season' comment, it would be best if people like you should not be allowed to have a gun and probably should be put on medication and therapy.
