For many of us there simply isn’t an opportunity to let it off the leash on public roads. Can’t get tickets when it’s wall to wall boneheads. It’s just enough to keep them from running into you. If you can get some room on the freeway it’s fun to have fun as long as you aren’t going overboard. Anything above 100mph should be kept on a track. Public roads aren’t as well maintained, or constructed, you never know if you hit a rough spot in the road it might be the end of ya or someone else or both. Fortunately, I don’t have to daily mine, it’s a weekend toy and I can just go to my specific spots and do what I want.

Black is tedious, my washes are mostly touchless, only contact is with microfiber, and detail spray is used after washes for a clean finish. I also have undercarriage washing schedules, and I clean the wheel barrels. Still looks really good after 50k mi. I've had to paint a few rock chips as well.

I daily drive mine, rain or shine. Only time I swipe my wife's car is if I need to pick up something that won't get through the trunk opening. I've been through 6 Camaros/Corvettes as daily drivers, as I can't be bothered driving anything dull every day.
It still looks sharp, gets cleaned regularly enough, and makes boring trips a little more fun. It's just a Chevy, go drive the piss out of it. |

I alternate between my '16 Malibu and the Camaro for daily driving. I avoid driving the Camaro in the rain, mostly because the rear valance/bumper accumulates dirt and grime in no time, while the rest of the car is relatively clean.
In the winter, I'll drive it only when roads are dry, which is easy to do with some planning. Always drive it long enough to reach full operating temp (oil not coolant), which in winter takes ~20 mins to get to 85C, and in summer about 10 minutes to get to 105C. It's driveway-parked so had Suntek Paint Protection Film installed on the hood, roof and trunk, and the rest of the car ceramic coated. |

I dailied mine and while it's been in the shop I've had nice, very nice, loaners to drive and I miss so much the effortless on demand thrust, the obnoxious in your face sounds and ride quality. Its so absolutely BORING>

Most of my driving is to-from work, in which it's all freeway for the 10 miles or so, but filled with trucks throwing rocks and other debris. I drive my beater for that. I like to keep the Camaro feeling "special"... So weekend drives if we head somewhere (coffee shop, specialty stores, etc), drive to the in-laws (a little over an hour away via turnpike) or sometimes just cruise through our metroparks here in NE Ohio. In winter it doesn't go out and stays in the garage until the salt is gone. I'd like to drive it more, but I refuse to use it as my commuter to/from work. As we don't go many other places, it just gets driven very little. Good thing is it still looks and smells brand new and the resale is worth what I paid 5 years ago, so not too bothered... And it's paid off |

It has been for me. They do T&T most Saturdays and some Sundays, which is more convenient for me than weekday evenings. I've always been able to get more than enough runs in. But again, haven't been there yet this year. Now that I've vanquished my suspension demons I may have to get out there.

Have gone from 19k to 104k miles currently. 16SS A8. Driven in all weather conditions (include snow a couple times)
Some bumps in the road but the car is pretty versatile. I've fit $400 worth of Costco goods in the back just fine. Boxes and all. I love this thing still. But she's getting long in the tooth and I'm going to need a different one in couple years. Another Camaro is out as both me and the wife hate the refresh. I'm thinking CT6 with the v8. |

I commend the guys on the forum that use their Camaro for daily drivers, mine is just a weekend toy. I’ve been debating if I’m going to keep mine or sell. I ordered it new in 2017 and it only has 1,245 miles on it now. My wife says I should hang on to it for a few more years because I’ll be retiring soon and I will have more time to get it out and go play.

Plus, there is a host of nice upgrades you can consider at that point, which would feel like getting a new car each time with way more power. Sure, the 2017 won't have all the gizmos and the ginormous screens that newer cars flaunt, but that's not always a bad thing.

I bought my ‘17 new and like Arpad said, since I don’t drive it that often (14,000 miles total) when I do drive it, it’s a treat. And since I add upgrades every year, it always keeps things interesting.
