i had to get a new daily last spring. i owned a 6g ss 1LE for 4 years. imho the camaros are the best bang for your buck performance wise on the market. no comparisons.
however, after putting 40k miles on one, i had absolutely no desire to own one as a DD, despite knowing its capabilities. far too many irks. i sold the car because i did not enjoy it unless i was flooring it. the cars lack of a soul reminded me how high maintenance i am. so i bought a 200 hp, rwd, manual trans hardtop car for a daily. wouldn't change a thing.

I bought my 3LT turbo 1LE with intent of it being my DD. I enjoy it every time I drive it. I bought it for maximum comfort. The four cylinder gets good mileage and has plenty of pep for the street. The 1LE suspension makes corner carving fun.
If I want power, I get in a V8 weekend cruiser. |

I bought mine with the intent of it being my daily. I daily drove a 3/4 ton 4x4 for 18 years and wanted something fun with better mpg. A 2SS fit the bill. I do find it disappointing to drive my truck though.

I "fair weather DD" mine. It's nice enough I can enjoy just cruising around in it at normal driving speeds. Every once in a while it's safe to do so, and I can open it up a bit, or carve through some corners. Still excites me every time I get to do that, 2 years of driving it later

I daily mine and that was the plan when I ordered it new. Have four other cars at the house, but it's rare when we exchange. I also get paid to drive for work, so after 2.5 years and 50k mi., i've been reimbursed over $20k to drive the car.
It's inconvenient in many ways, but always comfortable, really good on fuel on the highway, and always turns heads and gets complements.

I DD in the Spring/Summer/Fall, during fair weather.
That puts in the other car, a 21 Mazda CX-9, enough that I am thrilled every single time I get back in my car.

Its crazy how fast these cars can get to felony speeds, I was talking to my crew guy on my racing team the other day about how owning even a stock zl1 is almost stupid unless you can get to the track (strip or road course) frequently to actually be able to enjoy the power. Heck my current Car I have the THP boost control on just so i can utilize the car in 1-3 gear, other wise its just a tire smoker or the trac control comes on so hard the car bucks like crazy. Very easy to hit the top of 5th gear in a few seconds on the freeway if you want to. One of these days its gonna cost me.

I had to make rules for my driving, because the reality is you're more than likely faster than 95% of other cars on the road you're on. Probably more than that, I mean honestly how often are you just rolling with another sports car on the way to the store or work, not very. So its more of understanding that you can do things other cars cant, such as make that lane change or pass this car etc. I had a set of rules no speeding in certain areas, etc. etc. and literally when I broke my own rules I got a ticket. 70 in a 45. My own fault, I got on it without being able to see everything. Its a fun car but you have to have some rules for yourself.

Couldn't imagine using it as my DD. Love sitting up high, in my big lumbering, spacious, comfortable Silverado. It's like driving a couch! Daily drove TWO Camaros over the years, and just don't like being down low, stiff suspension, reclined back all day everyday. On occasion, it's great!!! -But I like my truck for daily duty.

Which strip? I'm usually at Milan, but I haven't gone in about a year or so because trying to work the kinks out of the car.

Sometimes Milan, sometimes Lapeer. Haven't been to either this year though. Trying to get some things straight with my suspension. You gonna be at Camaro Superfest this weekend?

I daily mine and have 140k miles on the clock. Its fortunate that I live in Texas where the general flow of traffic is 90 MPH on the freeway so I get plenty of leeway to have fun with her.
