lol 500+ rwhp bolt on LT1? I'd be interested in seeing that build and what Dyno they are on. And do they have before and after numbers, because that's all that really matters.

Here’s the ones I’m thinking of. You just don’t see LT2 intakes with ported 87s hitting these numbers. 2 of them don’t even have headers.

But I guess they can just mess with dynos to show any numbers.

On a good day, a bolt on LT1 with a unported LT2 intake and stock TB picks up about 10 rwtq and 15 peak HP, but way up top near redline the HP gains would be closer to 20-30 rwhp. My point is the gains are from the LT2 intake manifold.

I guess I operate in a world where 20-30HP can be had with a stroke of the keyboard so I don't see the point of adding larger TB's to pick up single digit power in the power band where your shift point is.

as you liked to share examples, here is one: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=606822

We have done ported LT2 intake manifolds and 95mm TB's on LT1 cars and we have done stock LT2 intake manifolds with stock 87mm TB's on LT1 cars. Those guys go out to race and nether seems the have the advantage.
So there is no wrong answer, I just have my own opinion on this subject.

Okay I’m cheating to get free info. There is a million dollar prize for the fastest bolt on car, every car weights the same, same wheel, tire and gear setup, you can’t cut or replace the hood, cars have the same torque converter, you can port intakes/TBs, and you can’t use custom made parts like hand built headers/intake manifolds, just off the shelf stuff. What bolt on combo in your opinion wins the race?

1 7/8 inch headers, Corsa NPP, standard rotofab wet, MSD intake manifold port matched to a Soler 101mm eff throttle body and smoothed runners, flex fuel and send it.

This TB? https://www.solerengineering.com/generalmotors/95mm

With the MSD and TB, would you get the 103 to 95 adapter from soler?

Sorry, I meant get a 103mm TB. When I typed I was thinking about a ported LT2 with the intake port matched to a 95mm unit.

this never gets enough attention when people are looking for every last mph. i shifted my msd manifold bolt on m6 car at 6800 rpm.

at 6500, a stock msd was up 36 whp over a pp LT1. i upgraded parts on the car after the last dyno session, but only had dragy / hpt timer for data.

I'm running a 103mm Soler throttlebody with an MSD intake. I've run the LT2 with the solar 95mm combo prior to that.

Any dyno numbers or anything to compare? Was this a bolt on car?

95mm TB on a ZL1

Have anyone tried 95mm tb on a zl1 without porting the snout (will be ported in future) but i wanna know does it makes any difference + have anyone dyno it + how’s the car with the adapter and please give me recommendations about the Adapters.

Why 95mm not 103? Because it’s half the price can get to 100mm with porting.

95mm TB without opening up the snout will only give you limited gains. Better off running without the adapter if you can.

FYI, regarding the Soler Engineering 95mm throttle body. I've been conversing with their CS over the past week to clarify a few things.

1) The current part number for this is SE9871-95ZR. It is now marketed as "95+ MM (Plus+Port.)" and not as "100mm Effective".

2) They do not use factory units for this, but aftermarket units. (unless special order or special request).

Why would you think I want to buy a used 103mm TB?
