I was hesitant at first about buying out of area, but after having gone through it, I'd do it again. The key is to find the good dealer. It was more out of necessity and desire.

Yes we did. I think I told you I bought a 1SS1LE after they pissed me off. I did finally pick up a ZL1 a few weeks ago!

I told my story in another thread
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...0#post11290610 I placed an order for a 2023 ZL1 convertible in July 2022. Although allocated, nothing had happened since. A few weeks ago, I decided to see if there were any out there that had already been built and I found one in Iowa...exactly what I was looking for. I cancelled my order and bought the one in Iowa. I didn't think learning to drive it in an Iowa snowstorm was a good idea so I am having it delivered to South Carolina in an enclosed trailer. The driver is a client of mine who does it for a living. |

i bought mine from a dealership in VA and i live in Dallas, TX. It went very smooth and i shipped the car for $800. it was cheaper to ship it than flying and driving it back.

I live in San Diego and have never bought a new car locally. The markup from dealers anywhere in SoCal is insulting. I have flown to Norcal, Colorado, and Vegas to buy new cars. Its a great way to get a better deal and get acclimated with the new ride.
I'm hoping this Oct GM will go back to the 20% tags and I can book another flight somewhere :-) |
