That would be awesome. My best friend's brother has a built 84 camaro and an older camaro z28 state police interceptor. He's modded the interceptor If I remember right he's around 500 ft.lbs of torque according to dyno.

One of these days I'd like to go to the track. Plan a track day but my buddy's brother has to fix his car and get it ready.

Be nice not to go alone to the track make a small gathering day/BBQ day if that is allowed at the track

Never been to the track before yet. So don't know what all is involved. I know at the very least I'll need a helmet which is np.

Just think, if roads were rubber and tires were stone or steel. Would we be better off?

For me its the fu*$ing round abouts. NO ONE knows how to drive a round-about.

Absolutely hate them

That said.

Current Status: Tire is shot guess that happens when you are doing 75mph on a flat tire. They did an inspection and didn't find anything wrong. Told them to drive it and listen for the knocking sound.

Thanks to snow today they have to keep the car a day or two for the roads to clear up enough for them to test drive.

I've watched more than my fair share of people enter a roundabout / traffic circle by making a left. SMH.

I have to laugh at most of the time, replacing perfectly functioning working intersections with roundabouts has nothing to do with traffic flow and everything to do with cities and towns "having to spend" grant money they received from the state. And, if they don't spend it, they have to give the money back. It would be a travesty if they actually handed the money back and the citizens saw a touch of relief on their taxes.

Oh ya county municipalities do that. Ask me how I know. One county I worked for was $1,000,000 under budget. So they did a complete IT server rebuild. And even that was only $300,000 So another $100,000 for new printers for the police cars. List goes on.

When I get a round about it downshift hard and drift my way through it as fast as possible...so much for slowing the traffic flow.

A new roundabout was put in near my home not too long ago. Speed limit of the intersecting roads is 55 and 45 without much lead in when it drops to 35 mph. For some reason we seem to get a lot of people wanting to race on the 55 mph two lane.

About a week or so after the roundabout went in someone evidently didn't realize it was there and went all Dukes of Hazard. From the impact marks it looked like they cleared the entire inner circle and landed on one of the dividers. I'm guessing maybe 35-40 feet through the air. Wish I could have seen it.

We have round abouts all over in the area now. I personally love them. Sure you get a stupid person every now and again, but for the most part it keeps traffic flowing. I hate sitting at red lights now. Drives me nutz.... Not to mention you no longer have T-Bone accidents in round abouts.

Update: So there was a flat top nail in the right front tire. Large Flat top nail. So they test drove the car after replacing the tire and no noise.

I figure what happened when I hit the pothole was it dislodged the nail enough to make the ticking noise and knock on the inside wheel well.

The stock tires only have maybe 1/2" or less clearing to the wheel well.

They said mechanically the car is near perfect and couldn't find anything wrong with it other than the tire.

Dodged a bullet this time I guess!

Now if only I could dodge round-abouts too....
