I believe it to be correct. If it were flipped front-to-back the inlet and outlet would be in the wrong place. If it were flipped top-to-bottom, the air beeder would be at the bottom.

I'm not as ambitious as you are (not enough time and this is California...) but am probably close in leaving anything alone (I modify my home entertainment receivers, guns, blah blah blah, ha). This is all great stuff to know and see what works and doesn't. I'm not sure if I'll track much, but have always been interested in better cooling. I've been wondering what to spend money on next, and this might be it. HA.

Just to clarify.. Are you removing the stock oil cooler? Is the C&R Oil Cooler on their website a direct replacement for the secondary intercooler on the driver side? Last edited by gcrusco; 11-14-2020 at 11:58 PM. Reason: because |

It's as direct as you're going to get for swapping a water cooler with an oil cooler. The fitment is perfect, but there is some plumbing required to make it work. |

So the two new oil cooler lines go to the new CR oil cooler and to the sandwich plate connected to the oil filter. Is the oil passing through the stock oil cooler as well? How does the stock oil cooler play into the install after everything is done? Also what is the heater hose and 90Degree fitting for? Last edited by gcrusco; 11-15-2020 at 04:25 PM. Reason: change |

When the oil cooler is installed on a ZL1, the left aux heat exchanger is removed from the supercharger cooling circuit. The heater hose and 90-degree fitting are needed to hook the center heat exchanger directly to the coolant circulator pump. (When the left aux cooler is removed, there is a gap in the circuit.) I think there are some pictures of this in the google drive folder I posted a link to. |

Again, I have zero affiliation with C&R. I'm only helping promote this because I have first-hand experience and the results are unbelievably good. I'm also extremely grateful that C&R made this investment for the Camaro community so I want to show them some support. |

Travis, Thx for all of the pictures and doing the detailed data gathering on this. I just finished the installation & your pics came in handy. I am running the primary CATs and the 2 45deg fittings worked well.
Thx again Next need to get C&R to make a larger A10 replacement cooler.........
