Now, when launching @ 1500 RPM with foot break, do you recommend gradually flooring it upon releasing the breaks?
Or do you go WOT immediately upon releasing the breaks?
I guess the latter would blow off the tires.

But still, I need to ask to learn from all of you with more experience.

I just want to improve my 60ft ... The lowest I've managed so far is 2.0
1.7 60ft is definitely doable using launch control on street tires on a prepped track.
Are you on running slicks? I could see it being better wothout launch control on slicks or drag radials.

So with the slicks I have not been able to make the launch control work right it always bogs off the line. I've been foot braking to 2500rpm or so and then nail it once I let off the brake. My slicks hold my car without any spin. Best 60 foot was yesterday's 1.65.

Yes everything else is stock, air box pulley exhaust all stock. Guy at the dyno shop said you can actually get more power with just e85 then with a pulley and e85. Not sure how true but the did a vette a few weeks back that had a pulley and e85 and I made the same power as he did.

I'm on Toyo R888R's 315/30/20 @ 20 PS . I will try launching around 2000 RPM with my setup.
However, I may need full slicks do go WOT right after launch at 2500RPM, since I am already spinning the R888R's in the first 2 to 3 gears for sure. I will practice this . Thank you ... once the R888R's are done, I will buy MT ET's!

In the near future I will buy a 17' drag pack and use MT ET's, but for now I want to get the best possible times with the R888R's as I already spent money on these, so these will have to do for now..
I'm seeing stock ZL1 with stock Goodyears', doing like 1.7's and 1.8's over 60ft, so I should be able to do even better than that with the R888R's with a proper launch.
I know it takes practice, I just want to learn from you guys so I can make effective launches before I run my R888R's bare without much progress to report..

I don't think you'll benefit at all trying to use launch control at the track. Street is fine but not at the track. I don't know anyone who's had any luck with an Auto at the track.

Sorry if I missed this, but what tire rim combo are you using? Trying to get some drag radials and debating about purchasing a separate pair of rear rims so I can just switch them on when I take them to the strip.

Edit Found the tire 305/45r17. Im guessing the zl1 have different fittings vs the zle?

I'm running hoosier 28x10.5r17 braket drag radial slicks. The mickeys are on backorder or at least were when i wanted to order them.

It's awesome to see your car running those times with just minimal mods. What were the weather conditions?

I just saw your last time slip. Yea 10.7s is way better. So now you are tuned for E85? With Headers and better weather maybe even do a 10.50. Super cool!

It was 105 degrees when I made my one run with my Toyo’s. I got a 1.5 60’ in the 1/8 mile. I am modded out the wazzoo though. I tried launching at around 2400 but was spinning too much. I’m pushing 824 Rwhp. Next time I’m going to try and launch from idle
