Hi Gregg I agree with you and sure it depends on what I would do with the car but it will be mostly daily driven and maybe some back roads to screw around with it. I do like doing highway pulls as well and occasional roll racing. While that may sound like the standard ZL1 may seem to be more than enough and it could be, I just happen to like the exterior looks of the ZL1 1LE but the standard ZL1 is also very nice looking as well. I drove both cars twice on two different occasions to get the feel for them. To be honest I did feel more entertained driving ZL1 1LE maybe because for what it is and how good the exhaust sounds from in the car. The first drive with the ZL1 1LE was fine drove ok didn’t feel rough but it was mostly driven on smooth roads. The second drive we went around one road that seemed kinda bumpy but at first I didn’t think it was because of the car being so stiff I just thought of the road being bumpy and that maybe other cars would feel the same way. I felt like I could tolerate it to be honest but these were only short simple drives but obviously I don’t own the car yet to see what it’s like every day. I can only make impressions of it on a test drive. |

Honestly between the two cars maybe the biggest concern about the ZL1 1LE is added drag from the aero and lack of DRL’s. I also like to be entertained with a car and I felt like the ZL1 1LE seemed to be more fun. It’s something I would definitely have to think about and decide for sure. But from what I have heard anyone that has traded there standard ZL1 for a ZL1 1LE has not regretted it so that must say something. |

Nice thanks for sharing the info and I agree the ZLE is definitely aggressive looking and going for that car on its looks alone just might be worth it. Also glad to hear you daily drive it I’m sure it’s doable for some and don’t mind it. How is it when going for a 1-2 hour drive or even an occasional road trip? |

The ZLE doesn’t have a rear view camera or backup camera you mean? |

The stiff suspension of the ZLE would not bother me personally but I also have to think about the g/f and others who might be riding - then it becomes more of an issue. I like the ZL1 wheels, always have - makes it look more upscale. The clear tails grew on me. if you're even thinking about going to the track, though, the ZLE is clearly the right choice |

I've been a Z since 2012 so not up on what's available on lower trims, and pretty sure someone who spends more time reading auto mags than chasing tang might correct me, but I'm pretty sure all trims have DRLs under the headlamps. It's just the ZLE is the only one without supplemental DRLs in the fascia.

I was sort of in the same place you are. I chose the ZLE for a couple of reasons.
1. Not a daily driver, strictly a weekender 2. Wanted a car that was factory different from other models. Not added in aftermarket. I had heard that the suspension was ROUGH. I am mid 50's and it is tight. Went to the PS4's and while it is still tight, it has a totally different ride. Just sort of knocked the edge off of it. |

Hmm interesting video and I think the kid had a few mods done to his car while the ZLE had one thing done to it I believe and it was a pretty close race. I was hoping the ZLE would pull a little more away from the mustang though. I wonder how that race would have went if it was a regular ZL1 A10 against that mustang or even better yet a stock A10 ZLE vs a stock A10 ZL1 just to see the differences in racing distance between the two cars to give me an idea. |

Yep I would love to see a 70 mph roll to 120 ZL1 vs ZLE
Here's the same kid (before mods) vs A10 |

No. The regular ZL1 (at least for 19') has a rear view mirror that turns into a camera when you flip the switch. The ZLE wing doesn't allow for this extra camera, so you just get a regular old review mirror (that pretty much just shows you a nice view of the wing).

All this talk about how fast we can go? Guess what? Ever heard of jail or prison? We have speed limits AND cameras on every corner. Speed kills any-way. Speed is over-rated unless you want to Race your Camaro. Wake up people!
