By the same logic, the Camaro needed a driver mod as well as we all know the 1320 isn't competitive with an A10 ZL1.

So you are saying that 11:90 in a 1320 is a hero run, I just say you are a butt hurt fan boy
Cars.com ran an 11.86 in the 1320 |

I have nothing but respect that Dodge offers a 1320 with all the trick Demon stuff. I think GM and Ford should step up and offer the same transbrake equipment etc on a drag pack type car.

Now all I said was that a Hellcat is way off it's time to run an 11:95 and that it is running what a 1320 would run and needs a driver, your comment is that it would be a hero run too get a 1320 in that time. I have shown 2 times that are at that are in that 11:90 range so I think we can say it is not a hero run to get a 1320 to run that. |

BTw, they said the 2019 Hellcat has 707 HP and 707 TQ. That is incorrect. The 2015 - 2018 had 707 HP and 650 TQ. The 2019 is rated at 717 HP and 656 TQ.
Also of note is Dodge is more conservative with their 1/4 miles claims. It seems they claim an 11.2 in the quarter when they used to say it was a 10.8 or something. |

Well I had posted this before so sick the DA here is a 1320 running 11:86 at 115 as well as a 11:77 at 115, guess there is so many hero passes with the 1320.

No deflecting at all even in bad DA the 1320 can run a 11:77.
Hellcat running 11:85 has nothing to do with DA and everything to do with driver as it should have been able to run faster than the ZL1 given DA effected both. |

You are trying to be reasonable with unreasonable folks. The big problem is it is faster than the SS, and faster than the GT that is faster than the SS. Lets wait to see the times the 1320s runs in more favorable Fall air.

The Hellcat running what it runs is more or less due to it having way too much HP for the tires they put on it. Mine has 275 Pirelli P-Zeros. P-Zeros are the worst tires as far as I'm concerned. They came stock on my 2010 Camaro SS and even with just 426 HP they would spin. There is no way those tires can hold a Hellcat. And even more so not at 275 size. The 1320 simply gets more HP to the ground because it has much less HP than the Hellcat and probably a better tire. But look at the MPH difference. The Hellcat is potentially the faster car hands down.
I would also venture to say that the 1320 doing 11.77 - 11.90 is running at the best it will do. A Hellcat doing 11.8 is nowhere close to what it can do. Throw DRs on both and see which one is faster. So really all this proves to me is that Dodge gave the 1320 a great suspension setup and a great tire. But they threw a shitty tire on the Hellcat. Even if they had gone with a street tire other than a P-Zero and around a 295 width then the Hellcat would have been better. But regardless of what this video shows, the 1320 is nothing more than a 392 engine in a stripped down Hellcat suspension with a good tire. I would rather have the Hellcat. |
