Can you guys just agree that both cars have their attributes? The guys with the ZL1 love their car, and the guy with the R loves his. Either could have had the other car, but chose their respective vehicles for their own reasons.

Except that GT 500 kinda reminds me of a Catfish in front.

Looks have nothing to do with any assessment of any car ever. We all know that looks are subjective and the onlookers are always fickle. So it doesn't even matter because it isn't something that can be quantified. Suffice to say, both cars look amazing.
And I get it that people love whatever car they pick. But I'm just saying don't come on here with a story about how the GT350R is some advanced technological cornering masterpiece the likes of which hasn't been seen nor can ever be achieved. We all know that's a load. The SLE is on the GT350's heels so that says a lot. And don't come here with some cockamamie story about a Z06 owner who was soo impressed with a GT that he bought a Bullitt. The Z06 is straight up in a separate universe from the GT. I assume it was the PP1 GT his neighbor drove at the track. And the PP1 was soo far away from even the SLE that it wasn't even a match. And the SLE is nowhere close to the ZL1 which in turn is just under the Z06. So no way somebody was THAT impressed with a GT. And even the Bullitt isn't as good at handling as the SLE is. So if he did buy a Bullitt, then he took several steps down the ladder. Unless he wanted something that was more for DD and bought the Bullitt because it is a step above the GT. Or if something is horribly wrong with his Z06 and he doesn't realize it. |

First we hear how he got his GT350R under MSRP, only to find out he had a Hellcat on trade which makes deal #’s far easier to manipulate. And now, we have to hear how it’s not fair to compare a ZL1 to a GT350R because it’s supercharged. Oh yeah and poor trade/resale value. We didn’t need a fanboy GT350R commercial in the middle of a GT500 HP post on a Camaro site. I don’t hang on Mustang forums but that’s just me.
Two things I can agree with is he got the car he wants and the GT500 should be offered with a manual. |

As far as "better", again that is not quantifiable by anything other than another person's opinion. In my opinion the ZL1 is the "better" car. And in yet someone else's opinion the Hellcat is better than both of them. If someone needed a large vehicle with a big trunk that could tote 4 normal sized adults, do you really think the GT350R would be the "better" car for them? And if someone thought 526 HP and a 12.2 sec quarter mile was lame as hell, do you really think the GT350R would be the "better" car for them? No. "Better" depends on the individual, what they want, what they need, etc...not what 2 dudes in a magazine said over 2 years ago. And anyway none of this was the point. The point was that dude was telling some fantastic story that is about as far fetched as far fetched gets. |

Why are you on here? You just have a lowly POS Mustang GT. Take your other Fanboi and go play with each other on Mustang6g playground. This is a ZL1 forum which neither of you have one or know about.
