Does anybody remember this expansion chamber?
Does anybody remember this? The ADM compact coolant tank as shown here
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=548648 But on their website they had this shown this... https://admperformance.com/products/...ersal-hardware So me, as a studious car hobbyist, saw all the posts about the clear white one being a $35 part from GM for the Bolt I think it was. So, I bought it and it appears to be exactly the same (pics attached). However, I do have a question or 5. Inside there is a divider with a small hole. it also appears on the one ADM was advertising to sale. I can see it through the outside skin. Did anybody buy this from them and notice this? And if so, what is the divider for. And is it working well for you? Should I leave it as is? Should I make some extra holes with a cheap soldering iron? It appears counterintuitive to me to not allow all the coolant to mix and stay cooler. I would think all the liquid mixing together easily would be better, I don't know; or does it even matter... Also, mine from GM has a small ridge on the inside of the Barb location on the mid-body front stem (not the bottom one). Which would impede the smooth flow of Dexicool. Should I carefully remove it? Or does that matter as well? If somebody did buy this white one, was there a space for a sensor at the bottom? Lots of questions before I install it. By the way, I'm doing this because F.I. Interchiller's instructions say I should have one. And they didn't tell me that when I initially called them which I didn't like much. Actually, my car ran very well without one on long road trips. But hey $35 + a little hose and a homemade Bracket work, why not. Also, for those that don't know, I was under the impression that this thing held a quart. It doesn't. I checked it 750ml max, 3 cups. Once again, thank you to the forum, you guys are a great help.

I have the ADM kit on my car, and yes, there is a little divider inside. The rest of the questions, I do not know, but mine seems to work good.

I wonder if they pulled the sensor ball out. I will have to scope it and see if it can be removed without damaging the container itself..... Thanks.

That coolant tank was made for GMs battery powered cars and the cooling systems associated with slow moving fluid volumes. It is similar to the tank systems we sell that are specifically made for the Air-To-Water cooling heat exchangers. I offer a kit that comes with different levels of support for cooling systems, custom formed hoses, fittings, mounting bracket and the knowledge that it has been tested in Motorsports without failures.
AND, had you posted this two weeks ago, I could have brought it to you Tariff Free as I was just there in Thailand. See my DM and let's talk!! https://patriotmotorsportsusa.com/pr...unting-bracket |
