I got the recall letter 2 weeks ago for my '24 Panther. It goes to the dealer on Friday for the fix. I was told to expect an hour or so wait.

I had mine done last week, pulling out of the dealer I notice the traction control was off, the next several days every time I started the car the traction control was off then it stopped. Every time I start the car the seat cooler is on, I reset the memory seat function several times and the seat cooler still is on when I start the car. Today I left the driveway and started driving down the road and lost all the dash lights except the D. never had any issues before the BCM was reprogrammed. Taking back in next week to get done again. Geez I wish I would have left it alone.

Was probably just a shitty flash. It sucks, but another go at it will probably correct the issues. Not sure why it takes them hours to flash a module. Wish there was a tool for GM, like Forscan for Ford. Small system tweaks here and there make for a much better owner experience. First thing I kill in my Ford trucks is the annoying double honk when you exit the vehicle with it still running. That shit is murder when you're hitching or setting up a trailer at an RV park and you're in/out a bunch. Disabling Auto Start/Stop if equipped. Seatbelt chimes, ect,. It's a handy tool. Even did a heated steering wheel upgrade in my F150 this last winter, took all of 30 seconds to copy my SCCM data to the new SCCM and turn on the heated steering wheel function. Why GM needs 2 hours+ to update a BCM, seems overkill by comparison. Probably more to it than I'm giving credit for, though.

.

I posted it in the other section but when they did mine it only took them 30 minutes to do the BCM update and
they came to my house to do it I don't understand the 2-hour thing either.

I had it done yesterday, it took just about 30mins. It was actually longer for them to print up the bills and documents describing the 45k mile service than it took for them to do whatever they did.

Car is completely fine, driving like normal.
