New Recall: "Body Control Module Enhancement"

There is a new recall on "certain Camaros," GM Program #N242447610:

Name: Camaro BCM Recall.JPG
Views: 11430
Size: 36.6 KB

It was just released yesterday. Based on something I saw on FB, one could infer it applies to those vehicles with the eLSD...but that's nowhere near confirmed.

This recall involves updating the firmware in the Body Control Module. I'm wondering if those of us who paid to have the eLSD recalibration done will want to pursue this recall action? The recalibration was a reflash of a different module, but will this BCD update in the recall change how our diffs operate? I'm very happy with mine the way it is after the recalibration, and I would not want that to change.

PS - You can enter your VIN here to see if the recall applies to you: https://experience.gm.com/ownercenter/recalls.

My convertible is showing it, so it must not be LSD specific. It is tagged as "Customer Satisfaction" too. Infotainment maybe? That seems to be where most automakers are getting beat up lately...

Mine pops-up and shows a transmission valve issue that could come up.

I agree on the dealership service department...

Mine is listed as well with two recalls. Looking into the Momentary wheel lock up recall... it states a remedy is not available yet!!! Yikes.

OK, so what is the actual issue here that needs fixing? Unlike most recalls, I'm not seeing anything outlining the problem.
