Anyone add the performance data and video recorder to a car that wasn’t equipped?

The dealership has the car I want minus this option.

i have a gopro but why would i need a hp tuner? lol i downloaded hotlapp and used that last two times and also trackaddict but havent touched it yet

The HP tuner device can data log all your ECU information and then you can use Racerender to overlay data to your gopro video.

You can also use a cheaper OBD2 reader they have them listed on Racerenders site on which ones work well.

I wouldn't quite call it a PDR supplement as there is no way for the Garmin device to read your ECU. But the Garmin device is really nice.

aww ok i may have to look into one of these i liked the hp tuner ngauge but i saw they are getting rid of those? i wonder why

The Garmin can give you live voice coaching to go x mph faster in the next corner compared to last lap in a headphone or helmet speaker which is unique among similar products and better than PDR. Not sure if there are other ways to get accelerator and brake % and steering angle overlays outside of PDR though.
