A bad day part two. Another one!
I got a set of Michelin Pilot 4s mounted on my stock wheels today. The mechanic called me and told me there’s wasn’t just one patch on the drivers side front wheel there were two! Not only that, he said both front tires are garbage because the first owner drove on two flat tires. He told me the tires heat up and weld on the rim when this happens. Therefore I only have the two original rears. What do you guys think? I spoke with my salesman. He said he would try and get me new tires but he doubted it. I don’t know if a lawyer would help or be worth it. I can’t believe this on a car that had 952 miles.
When I pulled into the driveway I did this: This poor car! Between me and the first owner haha.. I saw a car here on Camaro6 with a badass front splitter with metal rods holding it flat. Maybe I’ll replace with that. It’s not all bad. Heading to the track in the morning and everybody got that email about the killer discount on the ARC-8 wheels from Apexi Last edited by Homeless Junkie; 04-29-2019 at 10:07 PM. |

Since your car was used, I doubt the dealer can do much. Unfortunate, but I do hope you bought the tire insurance with the new ones, haha! You would be surprised what a black sharpie will do for that minor scuff on the corner, at least until you replace it. Another option would be to have it wrapped, however, I don't think the splitter is that expensive either.

You’d be best off avoiding attorney fees...with SF pricing you’d get 1-2 hours of a quality attorney’s time for the price of 2 new tires. Seems like negative ratings/reviews on social media (when fact based) often get results...I wish you luck!

Wow crazy. I just had my 4s’s Installed today too and Costco called me to tell me that they damaged one rim. Our luck will change, I can feel it..
Maybe see if the dealer can get you new tires at cost as good will. They won’t loose any money and will have a slightly happier customer. |

Hopefully thats enough bad days to last you awhile.
BTW - that color combo is my absolute favorite on the ZLE.

I would take your problems over mine. Bought used and only had it a weekend until the motor had problems. Dealer is being good about it and fixed it but I haven’t had my car for going on three weeks. It was supposed to ship up today but the truck never showed up

Thanks for the advice guys! yea I'm not going to sweat it. I'll buy two new 3R fronts when Apexi delivers my wheels in July. As far as the damage goes I'll get that fixed. Just happy i have the funds to get the car fixed;
Sorry to her about your bad luck F4 and Ricky. Well I had a spectacular time at Somona yesterday. I learned I can't drive this car but plan to get into some more courses and track days. I found out why so many people want the PDR. Made some friends. I realized even if I wanted the GT350 over the 1LE I can't fit in the seats!! And saw a new Ford GT. |
