Harnesses and Rollbar

Hello all. I recently installed an RPM 6 point roll cage in my car. Now comes the fun part...choosing which harnesses I want to use. I know I need at least a 5 point for anti-sub, but either I have to cut my Recaros ('17 ZL1) or find another type of seat. I had a local shop look at my Recaros and wanted to charge around $5k to cut my seat and put it back together with all the needed setup. At that point, I could probably find another seat with heating and cooling. I would like to keep the stock seatbelts in for driving around town. Just need any help/ideas.

I hope you recognize the risk associated with driving around town without a helmet on...

This.

Scaffolding only goes in race cars and requires helmets. Street driving with a roll bar and no helmet = asking for a TBI

I have had my 6 pt RPm Chromoly Bar for a year now and I chose the Crow 5 pt harness. I'm also adding the Kirky SFI certified roll bar padding on the door bar and the over head loop for safety on the street. I would advise you do that also, I've attached the links

this exactly. at least wear the full harness to limit how much your head can smack the bar if you do roll over

i like the way that looks!!, to much to cut your stock seats at that point i go with the boost logic carbon fiber race seat. just haven't seen anyone with it yet to make the purchase.

Except a full harness is designed to use a helmet and Hans device, full harness on its own = whip lash and also maybe a tbi.

Roll bar padding is for helmet strikes not skull.
