AA vs Ikon replica bumpers.
As I got an accident on the bumper, I decided to change it to AA at the first time.
I cut the lower grill due to the S/C reservoir of Whipple and covered it up with the license plate. It has a quite unique look while it is similar to ZL1. The fit was ok, and the seller said RS's DRLs would be fit , but it is illegal here. The issues I concerned were 1. The front lip was not that uniform. Later, I realized that if I tie the bump and lip too tight with the bolts, it causes some kinds of evidence of bolting. 2. The rear of the lower grill looks too empty. If you see the above, AA doesn't have the parts in the circle. It is a cover of the bumper rail. It makes look different. Furthermore, as you know, just behind of the front bumper, there is the tube of Airbag and it is surrounded in the form, but AA didn't provide it. no choice I located it with cable tie behind the bumper on itself. and I changed AA bumper to Ikon. The yellow car is a car of my friend. It is much like ZL1. Almost the same dimension. A guy put the genuine flow tie grill on it while can't with AA. So, I believe to put DRLs , need Genuine ZL1's or copies. As you can see the above, the ZL1 emblem is removable and I will put SS instead of it. I hope it will help to choice. |

I'd imagine the ZL1 Add-Ons Dive Planes would they are designed to go on the SS or ZL1 bumpers to my understanding.

Thanks for the post! The Ikon definitely looks more authentic. Any issues with installation - I heard it does not include instructions? Do you think the DRLs would work with the Ikons?

I'd like to know if the ZL1 1LE grille would fit in the Ikon. I really enjoy how that thing pops out, adds such a premium aggressive look to the grille.

Looks good looks like the Ikon is the way to go with the aftermarket ZL1 bumper.

I think the first few pictures are of the AA bumper.
