ZZP has a complete cold air intake.

It's here and it's from ZZP. Nuff said.

They state that there are zero HP gains to be had with the stock tune. As with the rest of their parts, they refuse to show dyno results to back up that awful news.

There's gains to be had what they are stating is to cover their own asses which in this day and age is an unfortunate major priority.

I like their intake. And they're a no bullshit company backing the LTG platform with good products and good prices.

As for gains...like the previous poster said...get a tune. But catless downpipe and intake and tune at the very least!

I just want an intake that makes my turbo as loud as can be.

Having said that...if someone has the injen open filter or that eBay one...please take some vids as we need to hear who's making the most noise.

I really dislike the open top design. We had to seal off the ZZP logo on the top of an ATS box for best results. Anything open on the top of the box is just letting ambient heat in and any pressure out.

The best CAI's pull from the coldest, highest pressure area in the front of the vehicle. Getting a scoop down by the bottom of the front bumper, then completely sealing the intake tract can work. I've seen people pick up tenths of ET on LS1 Camaros with the type of setup I've described. If you have time and want to look into it, on my last LS project, I ran the Chrs1313 scoop, sealed the lower airbox with gorilla tape, sealed the lid of the box with gorilla tape, ran the best lid on the market 'Fast Toys' 98mm. I picked up 4 full mph with those mods. I understand an LTG is different, but the principle remains.

So this is an open top? I guess I was assuming that was plexiglass over the filter. Yeah, not a fan of open top myself.

It is plexiglass. Steve from ZZP confirmed that on Facebook.

Its not an open top. Its plexi glass and the zzp logo is probably sealed with that plexi also. I think its the best looking intake for our car thus far.

and even if it wasn't plexi-glass isn't that expensive to buy and cut.

Hard to tell there was plexi. Hopefully it covers the cutout for the logo as well! If it doesn't, make sure to seal it off!

Eh. I guess it looks ok. I mean it's going under your hood, and you're rarely going to see it. I personally prefer function over form in this circumstance. That's why I like the Evo7300 better. Plastic doesn't heat soak like aluminum will. That's why OEM's have gotten away from aluminum intake manifolds.

ZZP is just being honest. No ones parts are making more power without a tune. The ECU reduces power down to stock levels not matter what you do. It must have a tune to make more power.
