Exhaust recommendation for 2.0T?

Got a friend with a 2.0T looking to upgrade the exhaust to give it some sound.

He doesn't want a SUPER LOUD SCREAMING exhaust system, just something nice and deep but most importantly DRONE FREE!!

If you guys got any setup that achieves this result, please collaborate!

Thank you!

I'd say get the mishimoto cat-back with hi-flo downpipe ir catless if he wants to get a tune. All the others are loud but I've yet to have any drone with just my axle-back.

Here is my exhaust. Borla Cat-back S-type. This thing has no drone, when you level out the throttle you can hear the sound level off as well The guys at the Borla R&D explained to me how the anti drone system works but I dont remember. Overall I have no complaints, the sound is very nice

after installing my catless down-pipe my stock exhaust sounds as good or better than all the $800+ options out there, so IMHO I will not be doing anything with my stock system (sounds great) and because of the corner to corner weight distribution that this car has (almost perfect) I would not want to shift weight from the back by replacing the stock muffler because I love the way this car handles the twisty's! so for me to spend 800+ for my car to sound the same or worse and upset the balance for no performance gain makes no sense to me, my $ is better spent in other areas.

I like your thinking but god damn if I just can't stand the sight of the suitcase tucked under the rear bumper.
