Didn't see a lot of info about kid seat fitment. So I did some testing.
We are looking at getting a convertible (2SS or LZ1 still undetermined) but we have 2 kids, ages 3 and 1. I am 6'5", 200lbs, wife is 5'3 115lbs.
What I found is as long as I put the front facing seat behind the driver, it is doable. No it isn't the most comfortable but I can sit in either seat semi comfortably. In front of the rear facing seat is worse, hence why it's behind the passenger seat. I will be sitting in both drive and passenger seats. I was also able to squeeze into the rear seat behind the driver (still in same position where I could drive) very uncomfortably but for a short ride, possible. Thankfully this will never happen. My head grazes the roof liner in this configuration in both the driver and passenger seats. All pictures are with the seats in the same spot. |

Are there any rules in terms of the top of the car seat being above the belt line? For instance in a rollover situation is the kid at more risk than normal?
Thankfully, we're asian and my daughter is teeny tiny so this will never be a problem ![]() Also, a quick note that you will have to play around with the memory seat function to get it to work well for you and your SO. Probably not use the automatic seat moving because it will likely crush your older one's legs if it moves back far enough.

I can't think of a more inconvenient uncomfortable scenario. Even getting the seats in and out is nightmar'ish. I dunno why people even try
![]() I've got 2 kids as well and they only what they ride in the camaro or vette is if they are in the seat right next to me.

Super easy when the top is down. We have a tundra and Xterra for longer trips.

There is no way a child would ever ride in our Camaro unless it is up front. No way a baby seat would ride like that in the rear seat, I can just imagine getting hit and the seat failing and slamming back onto the baby seat. Same front the front seat with a passengers seat between the front seat and rear seat.
To say the rear seats are a joke is a understatement, while this car is a 2+2 there is no way any grown adult could ride in the rear of this vehicle. Thankfully we don't have to worry about that at all, but I would never put a grown person thru that trauma personally. |

I can't imagine the passenger being in a comfortable seating position. I remember taking my niece one day in my focus, and with her rear facing seat there was almost no room for my wife up front who is only 5'2"

There are other good threads on this topic on this forum. Sometimes searching on Google works better than using the search function on this site. Just Google "Camaro6 " and then whatever term you want to search for.
Anyways...I have a 2 year old whom is forward facing. While the passenger has to scoot forward to more uncomfortable position than they would like...its doable. The real kick in the pants is a rear facing seat. I'd say that this is almost "not possible" in this car (coupe version). My daughter was near the end of her rear facing days when my wife and I got this car (after owning a 5th gen...which was definitely better in this regard). The rear facing seat we had was one of those that "clicked" into a base. Now, I could get my daughter and the seat into the car, but I couldn't really see what I was doing. Luckily getting it into the base correctly was simple. With the passenger seat fully forward, it fit. But getting her out was another story. On this seat, a button on the back/mid part of the seat had to be pressed in to unlock it (which could be done with one hand) while you use the other to pull it up and out. I had a heck of a time getting her back out. If it were my wife...I'm not sure she could have lol. Moral of the story. Once your kids are past the rear-facing stage you are good to go with these cars. Before that...its tough. Thank God my Camaro isn't a daily driver, but I know we are planning on another child, and I'm very fearful that the car will just never get driven, or that I'll decide it isn't worth it, and sell it.

When we roll as a 4-some, we take the 3-series. If I need to pick the kids up at school, we put the boosters (out of kids seats, thank goodness) in the passenger side front and rear, and its quite comfortable for them because the front seat gets pushed . For short trips, its totally fine, but I wouldnt travel 2 hours like that.

My two year old and four year old will be riding in my 2017 coupe. It is tight, but it works. Thankfully, my wife is 5'1".

I just got my 17 2SS coupe last week. We have a 7 year old who is in a booster, and a 3 year old who is in a front facing toddler seat. I am 6'0 and my wife is 5'9. We put the booster seat behind me, and the toddler seat behind the passenger seat. both fit well, my wife has just enough room to not complain.
