Need to know if these will fit?!

I have a 2016 1LT. So no Brembos. Is there anyone that has put these 245/55/18 tires with steelies on their 6th Gen? There is a guy on youtube with a 6th gen 2SS that has these steelies on but he is using a 225/60/18 tire. My stock tires are 245/50/18 so how big a difference is a 245/55/18? I want to know if they will fit ok. I just want to use these for winter. I had a 2012 5th gen that had these BF tires and it was a lot better in the snow.

The 55/18 tire is exactly 1" larger in diameter, or 3.6%. So when your spedo reads 60 mph you'll actually be going 62.16 mph. Your odometer will also record 3.6% less miles than actually driven.

To give you an answer YES they will fit fine, like bdougwrx said they may be off a bit on readings but if it's for winter use who cares.

I am probably the guy you watched on youtube?

They will fit just fine. I went 225-60-18's to narrow up the tire tread, if i put a 245 wide on the rim it would have been 245-55-18 with the same results.

Rear rim will need to be spaced outward on a SS model WITH brembos. Your 1LT should fit on no problem. I am in the hunt for the centre caps and beauty rings though i really like the look of them!

Don't do it.

First, I don't think they will fit at 29.6" height, but second, even if they somehow miraculously did fit, you'd be maiming the car with this crap. Another thing is I am assuming here that you have a square setup, otherwise ABS and StabiliTrak will almost certainly misbehave and throw codes when one introduces a gigantic front/rear bias (height difference).
