Speakers causing panel under rear window to rattle against the window

So I have an issue where the bass in the rear speakers causes the plastic liner to rattle against the rear windshield. Anybody have this issue and fix it easily? Anybody have experience with removing that piece? It almost seems like I'll need to disassemble the entire back seat to get to that piece. Thoughts?

Think this is the same thing I hear. Been mainly hearing a like random tap tap flap comes from inside the trunk seems like either near where the wheels would be like inside the sides of the trunk liner not sure what it is..

Had this problem and took it in and got it repaired under warranty. Service Dept said it was some insulation/padding /something-er-other was installed messed up. They replaced the padding.

Side note. For a temp fix I squished a sweater between the windshield and the vibrating speaker. The downforce somehow prevented the vibrating sounds. This may work for your prob.

i ended up taking it apart myself and put some foam tape along the line of the plastic, seems this is something that should have already been done with that felt tape, anyway, it fixed the issue, no more annoying rattling and the stereo sounds actually good now.

Service bulletin #17-NA-196 was just released on June 13th to dealers which gives them detailed instructions on how to insulate the rear packing shelf from the window and eliminate the rattle.

There's a large round hole rear and center under the rear deck. Wedge some foam in there.

Like nancygrl, I'm curious for some pics or what exactly the dealer will be doing. I have a subwoofer in the back and if I were to ask them to do it not sure if they'd have no room or mess something up.

That won't fix the problem.

Discuss the procedure with your dealer. They should be able to complete with the understanding any excessive vibrations caused by the aftermarket audio components would not be their responsibility to correct.

Brought it in for that. Three hours later get in and leave. Then look back there and this is what I see. DOES NO ONE GIVE A SHIT ANYMORE ABOUT THEIR ****EN JOB!!!? WHAT ****EN REDNECK MOFO THOUGHT THIS IS ACCEPTABLE!!!? It's all good I just had to go back and wait another hour until they get off lunch. Chevy service is the worst I've ever had for any cars I'm gettin sick of this. And gotta come back for the fifth time next week because maybe I got a "bad batch" of TPMS sensors so they can replace them all. What a joke.
