I've got this same rattle... What;s the easiest way to remove the square plugs? I put tape over one that was really loose and while it helped, the rattle is still there at times... Perhaps the other plug might need to be taped... I just want a better solution and others seems to have removed, than replaced with towel, etc...

I used electrical tape on mine and kinda pulled it tight before sticking it to the other side so it kinda holds them firm on there. Solved my issue. I did tape all of them even though only 2 were "loose"

I doubt it would hurt too much to just remove them though, but i would bet you might have something else rattling if the tape didnt solve.

the rattles come from the underside of the doors... there are plastic square pieces that are smaller then the hole they go into which causes the rattles. put tape over them like i did and the rattles disappear

Mine almost disappeared, but not quite. the one i put tape on was completely loose - wasn't event in all the way. I suppose I could just tape the other, but I am not convinced the tape will fix it completely as there is probably a small bit of looseness even with the tape - some of the vibrations would still rattle things especially since mine was so loose - unless I can get it out and secure it a little better. I just don't want to break anything trying to pull it out.

Nobody has yet explain the removal process... the ones that fixed it (besides just throwing tape over the butt end is the plug) have mentioned removing & wrapping it with flocking tape (not sure what that is but ok)... hopefully they can come back here & explain it... Just like stev, I also don't want to just yank it out without hearing from the ones that have already taken it out.

You can ply anything under it. I used my fingers to yank it out. The side may get a little smashed or not look as pretty but who cares as long as it stays in secure and doesn't rattle because no one will see down there anyway. Best way I can describe what it looks like: say a 3 inch diameter square with a 2 in diameter one inside; that's all it is.

Ok, so it sounds like no risk in just trying to pull on it. I wasn't sure if it was in there like an anchor in drywall or something and as soon as it pulls out things snap or something.

It's literally not connected to anything. Just sits in there. You're welcome.

I taped them all up, still seems to rattle. I feel like the rattle is more within the door arm rest, perhaps around where the plastic meets where the lighting strip starts. Not sure.

Anything with even the slightest base will rattle it. I have base set to about 25%. and volume similar. It does come and go though, although I can always replicate it by setting base to 50% on any hip hop station on xm.

It's the panel itself. If you push it real hard when you're bass is playing it should stop the rattle. But only way to fix it is to layer that whole panel by taking the entire door panel off...on my to do list but dreading it..

Yes i have to also say that after taping down the plastic pieces on the bottom of the doors that the only other place i hear a rattle would be the door panel itself and i pushed on it hard and went away like you said. I will see what i can possibly put in between the door to stop that the next day or so. Its not too bad when the volume is up high but on lower volume bass can be annoying with that creaking noise.

all the same symptoms as mine - except higher volume just amplifies it.

Sometimes pushing the panels actually stops it for a bit until things rattle out again. Since I am not really experienced with this sort of thing, all I can really do is hope the dealer can fix it without telling me to turn my base to zero.
