If this truly tightens up the rear end then I NEED this.

I read through the install instructions on the BMR site, and of course the comments above, and it makes it sound almost too easy to install...

Can I do it with one jack in my own garage? I'm concerned, maybe even a tad confused, about dropping/raising the rear cradle to access the bushings.
Any hints/pointers from those that did DIY would very welcome before I place an order.

Cheers,
Alex

The Camaro team emulated the rubber bushed subframes of past BMW //M cars. It takes a perceptible edge off the transient response that gives the car a less hectic personality and reduced induced snap oversteer. It's all in the tuning calibration process. Given we're on an enthusiast website, most of us probably want hardcore, but the bulk of the buyers will undoubtedly find the total package perfectly amazing.

Really curious if this kit will also fit on the ATS-V, which is a very similar chassis. Since I own both, I will be tempted to review the possibilities.

And now BMW has moved on to hard mounting the sub-frame on the current M.

Going from my M3 to the SS 1LE, I was able to tell a difference in the first quick transition maneuver I did.

I hope they hard mount all the performance/track models in the next Gen.

The instability in the rear is noticable enough in routine driving that I'm surprised it made it to production with the soft bushings.

I have Nitto 555 G2s in stock sizes and before they would do side to side bs under hard acceleration. That's all been removed. They spin from a low roll but car stays completely straight. From highway speeds it just hooks and goes. The rear definitely feels more planted around turns as well but Texas is flat and haven't hit any twisties yet. Will be doing a road course on Sunday and update accordingly.

I also have a drag pack, car cuts 1.6 60s like clockwork and it's definitely given the feeling that the launch will improve. Will test that butt dyno in a couple weeks and update accordingly. Product is 100% worth it. Only regret is not doing this sooner.

Have you seen any improvement with the fishtailing problems from a roll??

I had never done a road course prior but the car didn't wiggle at all Sunday. I did notice a few 6th gens in front of me had the mentioned wiggle when losing traction especially in a straightline however mine did not. I don't have any video unfortunately. I did two 20 minute open sessions at MSR Cresson with the local Camaro group. The first session I didn't do so well but the second session I improved significantly. The 555 G2s were screeching plenty around turns but they held up better than I anticipated. Next time I get the chance to run out there will provide a detailed review.

You're not kidding... that's why I can't stand driving in touring mode. With the amount of sway from the roads, I thought at first my alignment was off.

Idk what would be fun about me going to the track and kicking ass while you are doing "real" driving on the street

This kit is very easy to install. I was actually disappointed with how easy it was as I am a true gear head and love working on cars. I did it in a garage on Jack Stands no problem.

I can say that it tightens up the rear end and also helps eliminate some of the wheel hop that I have experienced.
