The ordering system will force a front plate for a front plate state automatically.

From the order guide:

Quote:
VK3 License plate kit, front (will be shipped to orders with ship-to states that require front license plate)
They know what states need them.

that is sad to know, thanks for the tip!

I meant no disrespect towards the Officer either, But I still feel that CITES for minor, non hazardous violations like this, are bad for Agency PR and are usually seen as nothing more than revenue generating by the public.

Some mercy on the part of the Officer and a Warning, would work far better than a smack on the hand with a fine. Educate the violator by telling them WHY we want to see a front plate. Do it in a respectful and courteous manner. Guaranteed to get better compliance than simply fining the guy.

Off the SOAPBOX. Sorry.... but I have always hated cites for stuff like this.

Sorry for your luck OP but great looking car. I haven't been stopped in this car yet but I have been ticketed for everything from tinted license plate covers to reckless driving (no automatic jail time) over the years. I've honestly been pulled for DWB more than anything else. Never been yanked out of the car or anything so crazy. In general, most cops are just doing a thankless job where they get the unenviable task of supplementing the revenue for their state/county/city/town.

Thanks! It's just minimal charge, $25 for the ticket, but of course $67 for processing fee

Welcome from Arlington! I highly recommend not installing the stock license plate bracket, it's hideous and you have to drill into the bumper. I spent the $80 for the STO-N-SHO license plate holder and not only does it look better when you have to have it on the car, but it's removable if you want to take pics of your car or bring it to a show.

Also if you ever moved to a state that doesn't require the front tag you can remove the whole bracket all together and it leaves no trace because it mounts to the underside of the car, whether you have the stock bumper or the GM Front fascia extension (there's two diff models)!
