Looks like the AFR was cleared up. I thought it would have made more power with more timing and boost.

So I had my Dyno done and ran 291rwhp and 291 rwtq. I posted it on the FB page but don't have the photo of the graph available right now.
The curve is much smoother and power delivery comes on at throttle tip-in which makes daily driving it a breeze. It is still rich down low and could use some tweaking but for now I am happy to make ~60hp over stock.

One of the fallacies to these cars is them making power on bolt ons without a tune. They do not! You can swap an intake and downpipe and the car will make the exact same power. The ecu detects power output and adjusts accordingly. It will simply pull boost to get back to stock power. A tune is a must if you change anything. Otherwise your just faking yourself out that the car is faster. We've played with this extensively. no tune = no more power than stock.

I sure can. Differences in dynos, differences in changes in weather atmosphere ect. You can make back to back pulls and get slightly different results. Ive literally stood there helping and the car reduces power after making a change. For example, you can swap stock dp to aftermarket and watch the ecu reduce duty cycle on wastegate reducing power to stock levels. We've changed several parts with the exact same results. That's the dirty secret of these cars that no one really wants to talk about. It's really hard to sell parts to guys who fear loosing their warranty when the car does not make more power without the tune.

I have several dynos on the same dyno with temps within 5 degrees 6 months apart at least that say otherwise on no gains. As for detuning it's happening but not at this cry wolf level your spewing.

Dude, I've seen and done more on these cars than most. You don't want to believe that its cool. I don't sell parts or tunes so I could care less. But for the guys that actually want to have a gain, it will be helpful info.

Bud, explain how my car put down 280/310 with a few bolt ons and the stock tune.. Unless I have some factory freak, it makes a difference..

I find it hard to believe that this car would have zero response to bolt-ons on a stock tune. Sure cars have preprogrammed parameters they attempt to remain in, but that doesn’t include monitoring output at the wheels.. It’s difference between increasing horsepower and freeing up horsepower.
Dyno’s don’t mean shit in the endgame, it’s a tuning tool. Anyone that was/is serious about performance knows the best test, is ET’s from a consistent driver. |

The factory tune has a desired torque value in the tune. Once that value is reached it lowers boost or closes throttle. I'm hoping Matt or Steve gets on this forum because they can do a much better job of schooling on this subject. |
