This is a camaro not a ferrari, and you paid accordingly. Perhaps you need a bit of a perspective retune. Get the car back and drive it.

Fairly certain with the 6th Gen they were told to hush-up completely because it was a source of information we could use against them with the 5th Gens.

GM customer service is always online over on the Enclave forums. but I do notice a redundancy with them. "always say PM me your information and we will help out" in most cases that's not the case. or never added to the initial complaint of the customer with GM reps.

When I dealt with them, the favorite phrases were "we are sorry" or "we apologize".
Nothing was being done, but they always had to throw that apology in there.
Typical call-center speak.

When I would hear "our internal resources" on the phone, I knew I was dealing with a front line order taker, and I was basically getting lip service.

Mine was in for 21 days for random a/c issues, ended up getting a months payment refunded ($500).

So since it's not a Ferrari he should just bend over and take the crap paint job and the half-assed repaint...?

Thank you!

I cringe when see people taking low ball offers from GM. "i got a set of tail lights and I signed my rights away"

Gm rep came and looked at mine offered a repaint but my dealership advised against it Service manager says work will show up on car fax and car will be worth nothing. So far they have had it for approximately 45 days changed the truck lid and rear spoiler and have buffed it 4 times. They want to try and buff it 1 more time in the spring and if that doesn't work....Lemon Law is the way I think I am going. In Vermont if a dealer has a car for 30 days or more you can go Lemon Law. love the car hate the paint. Getting to hate GM again

You have a lot of patience my friend. Put me in your position i would have been flipping the hell out by now and sleeping at the dealer till they work on it. I would call every dam day they had that car asking what is being done daily and when am i getting my car back ect. If you can go that route on the lemon law then start the process asap.

Yeah, this will be interesting. Have paint issues. GM offered to repaint car. Service Manager recommended not too (bet the GM rep's would love to hear this!). Going to try again if it's not good will pursue lemon law. Personal lawyer to judge, "Yes sir it's true, GM offered to paint the cars effected areas but the owner refused."

Lemon law or not I find it hard to believe a Judge do anything but throw this out. I don't know for sure but also find it hard to believe that a repaint of a portion of the car shows up on a Carfax report. I have had insurance work completed on cars that did not have anything show on Carfax. You may want to check on the validity of this service managers advice before you run with it.
