April 5th Big Willow with Racing For ALS

Racing For ALS event at Big Willow this past Saturday, took me a few sessions to get up the bravery that this track requires haha ran a 1:28 flat 2nd session and then backed it up with a 1:27.85 right before lunch. The PDR footage from that session didn't display the lap times for some reason but the times were there in the Cosworth Toolbox so I'll include a screenshot of that to verify.


Track = Willow Springs - Big Willow
Time = 1:27.85
Year/Model/Trim/Trans = '17 1SS1LE M6
Date = 04/05/2025
Tires = 305/30/19 Square Goodyear 3Rs
Mods = Katech Stage 3 Heads/Cam/headers/full exhaust (510whp on 91), ZL1 1LE front clip conversion, APR Wing, DSSVs, Apex ML-10RT 19x11 Square, DTC-60s f/r

First time at Thunderhill

First time at Thunderhill, ran the East course with Bypass and managed a 1:58.48 in the last session of the day. Definitely still some time on the table but very happy with this lap considering it was my first time at this track!

So far I've only ran them as a token "metal car" in one long autocross course with the 'vette guys (crushed them that day) and this road course half-day (first day out for the season so was a bit timid - probably a good 3-5sec to gain with more confidence). These TAPs are on par, if not above par, compared to the SC3R's. Interestingly enough, per the Hoosier TAP guide, we're supposed to run these at much higher than "other" tire pressures. I would recommend them so far.

I haven't driven on Hoosiers before (of any variety) but I remember reading they recommended similarly high pressures for A7 & R7 but they're actually faster at "normal" 3R hot pressures or a little lower.
