Question Cutouts, where to get them done?

I'm going to be purchasing the QTP cutouts soon, and I was wondering where I should get them done. The only portion I'm worried about is the wiring, is that something I should be worried about though? I have a few exhaust/muffler shops around the area (I live in Northern VA, about 25 minutes away from DC) that are pretty reputable but I am not sure what to do.

Essentially what I'm asking is, do I need to find a shop that strictly works on Camaros and the like to do my cutouts and wiring, or do you guys think a job like this is "easy enough" to do at a local reputable muffler/exhaust shop?

Link to the cutouts:

Your call but I have had bad experiences using the wrong shop to do anything. Even simple things. They don't have to just work on camaros but I would do your homework of course.

Just out of curiosity, why are you opting for the cutouts?

It’s not that hard to do yourself. I installed the NoWeeds cutouts/diverter and can share how I ran wiring.
There is a good custom exhaust shop here in Fredericksburg that I was going to use. I can get the name, but he won’t do the wiring.

1) I wanna be loud, essentially straight piped loud, but not all the time. I really like how the stock exhaust has valves and it's just great that I'll be able to control how loud I wanna be once I get the cutouts. I'll have three modes with the cutouts (I'm deleting my secondary cats too)

a- Super loud Cutouts open (essentially muffler delete)
b- NPP exhaust on track mode
c- Quiet mode from factory

Maybe in the future I'll get some cool axlebacks or something else interesting

I would be VERY interested in seeing how you ran the wiring, and will genuinely appreciate it.

My primary reason for asking is that a muffler delete would cost you about $100-150...and the cutouts are basically just that. I ran around with a muffler delete on my car for over 6 years...sounded much better than most cars with full exhaust.

However, since you added that you're deleting your secondary cats, I can see the reasoning behind it now.

I just like to hear other people's reasoning/viewpoints...very interesting

I looked at your link, that kit will need to be welded in. I only had cut a short section clamped on and just before muffler. If you remove the secondary cats, you will throw a CEL or need a tune.
I’ll get some pics up later but I just drilled hole through one of those trunk plugs.

You may want to check with these guys, http://www.hi-flocustom.com. I had them cut out the resonators/2nd cats, no CEL's or issues, didn't take them long and was happy with the results. They are in Manassass near Osbourne Park HS.

I actually love those guys and frequent/have recommended everyone to them, used to have a charger and had all my work done through them. I just was worried/thinking about the wiring. I had read up about someone messing up their wiring and it "melting off," so I just wanna make sure I do everything right. Especially connecting to the fuse box up front.

Secondary cats have no sensors and are essentially resonators, so I'm good! Thanks man, but also I would really love pictures of it just so I know where and how to wire it.

If run cutouts open and with resonators out, you will eventually get a CEL.

With the exhaust work you have done, do you have any problems come state/emissions inspection time? I want to get some exhaust work done but am concerned about inspections. Thanks.

I have been told that it won't be an issue, the shop said they do it all the time on Vette's and other cars that haven't had issues come inspection time.
